Trump Demoted Brad Parscale in Part Because of a Project Lincoln Ad — The One With the ‘Ass-Slapping’

About one month ago the Trump campaign demoted Brad Parscale from campaign manager to … not campaign manager after the campaign found itself in free fall on the heels of the Tulsa disaster. The move didn’t surprise anyone, the Trump campaign was falling apart. It needed a reboot, Trump fired campaign managers multiple times in 2016, and a scapegoat would be found. But apparently there is more to the story.

According to a new article in today’s New York Magazine, Trump was also bothered by a Lincoln Project ad-video that Trump had seen. The Lincoln Project created the video specifically to fester inside Trump’s addled mind along with alerting Trump campaign donors to the fact that their money is being used to buy Ferraris and yachts. It called out Brad Parscale for milking the campaign for every dollar and living it up in Florida:

Here’s the ad:

Trump is famous for hating it when others in his orbit get rich off money that Trump believes to be his (which is everything) indeed, Trump’s jealousies surely provided part of the motivation for the video in the first place. People knew it would drive Trump crazy. We just didn’t know what part of the video would sting the hardest. No one thought it might be the “ass slapping” that did it.

Wait, wut? Is Trump so out of it that he doesn’t realize that Brad didn’t actually make the video? Is Trump worried that the LP has some insider information that there is some ass-slapping going on in the Trump campaign and he’s not in on it? It truly does sound like Trump was totally confused about the roles in the ad and who did what.

But why does Trump think that Brad had any input or clue as to what the “ass slapping” was about? Not that anyone feels sorry for Brad at all – the opposite – it is just how is Brad to blame for an ad the LP put together? If the LP created a similar video concerning Trump right now, “ass slapping” might sound almost Disney-like in its innocence.

Absolutely bizarre. Yet these people believe they’re the answer when it comes to leading the United States out of its worst crisis in a century. Sure.

Ass slapping. We need Biden as president so that political analysts can watch the news with their kids.
