In the latest of his continuous Twitter meltdowns, President Donald Trump shared a video in which conservative radio host Mark Levin called former President Barack Obama a “pathological liar.” Levin directed a number of salvos at the former president, who discussed voter suppression while delivering the eulogy during the funeral of Rep. John Lewis. This didn’t sit well with Levin, who said as much to Fox News host Jesse Watters, The Sun reports.

Slamming “those in power who are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting,” Obama said during the eulogy that radical changes need to be made in the way elections are held in the U.S.

So Levin decided to complain about everything, it seems. This includes the fact that the funeral was held to begin with and the idea that mail-in ballots can be used during the presidential election to prevent the spread of coronavirus at polling locations.

“First of all, I’m utterly confused, I thought people aren’t allowed to have funerals,” he told Watters.

Then he called Obama a “pathological liar” and claimed Democrats are “trying to set the stage — if it’s a close election with one or two battleground states — that it’s systemic racism.”

“They’ve been laying this foundation for months and months and months,” Levin said. “No, every vote doesn’t count. Every legal vote counts.”

As he spoke, Obama suggested Election Day should be made a national holiday and that voter registration should be automatic. He also suggested the filibuster should be eliminated, if necessary. Undoubtedly Obama made these suggestions because he’s well aware of the harm that the GOP has done to minorities by implementing restrictions on voting. Due to Republican efforts, many more states now require photo IDs, making it that much harder for some people to vote.

But Levin likely doesn’t care about this and he suggested mail-in ballots and echoed Trump by saying they could result in voter fraud during the election.

“We all know the mail-in vote won’t work,” he said.

“There have been studies. CBS recently did something that showed it … we’re going to rely on the post office?”

“Whatever the Democrats want, it’s because they’re corrupt,” Levin said. “They are tearing down and burning down every institutional aspect of this society.”

I surmise that many Democrats probably are corrupt, but the Republicans have no room for talk. Both parties are guilty in this aspect. Levin is being disingenuous here by calling Democrats corrupt while ignoring what Republicans do.

And then he made the baseless claim that Obama is “one of the great reasons” there is a “huge racial divide” in the U.S. He’s hugely wrong here because the blame for that “racial divide” can be laid entirely on the shoulders of white people and especially the current top dog in the White House, Trump. Who was more than happy to share the video of Levin’s interview and several other videos last weekend.

Several of the clips were from “Watters World” where Watters rips “the lies you hear from the media or on social media about a Biden victory.”

Because that’s what people like Levin and Watters want people to believe. It may very well be why Obama said what he said in his powerful eulogy and this is exactly why we should listen. Separate the wheat from the chaff and ask yourself why Republicans are pushing this. The election may depend on you doing this.
