Fox Host Says We’re Going to Have ‘Two Presidents’ Since Trump Won’t Disappear as Former Presidents Always Do

So the Fox “Five” or whatever the hell they call the show (“The Five”) have come to some semi-resolution with the idea that Joe Biden will actually be sworn in as president on January 20th. This is good, given the fact that none other than the New York Times reports this:

Trump then proceeded to press them on whether Republican legislatures could pick pro-Trump electors in a handful of key states and deliver him the electoral votes he needs to change the math and give him a second term, according to people briefed on the discussion.

It was not a detailed conversation, or really a serious one, the people briefed on it said. Nor was it reflective of any obsessive desire of Mr. Trump’s to remain in the White House.

Literally, every single reader of this site knows this plan and is sick of hearing about it. But we’re wary of the nonchalance with which the source talked about it. They always “float” ideas out harmlessly, remember? Always testing. Do people react in horror? Or is it allowed to be explored?

Regardless, The Five have a better idea. They want two presidents. The way they see it is that unlike Obama, Trump isn’t some kind of p*ssy who is just going away. He will immediately announce he’s running in 2024 and be commenting and critiquing everything that Biden does as president. We are sure that Trump will be fair in his analysis as to what’s Biden’s fault versus his accomplishments … ppfffft.

From the Daily Beast:

“Assuming that the recounts don’t work and legal stuff doesn’t work,” Gutfeld said on Thursday, “I think the Trump voters, the people behind him, the 70 million, they won either way. They may feel like they haven’t won right now, but you have to understand, you don’t really love somebody until they go away. And then when they come back, you love them even more.

“And I think that’s what’s going to happen here,” he continued. Unlike President Barack Obama, Gutfeld said Trump isn’t going to “disappear” and will remain the “titular head” of the Republican Party.

Nooo, no you got it all wrong Gutfeld. There is NO “Republican Party” anymore. He can’t be the head of a party when he IS the party. That is all YOU HAVE. Donald Trump. The GOP might as well throw away the name “Republican” and just name it “Trump” or “Trumplican” and make a big “T” the symbol. Even though an elephant is somewhat appropriate as a symbol, we’re thinking that a fat sloth will be a better new animal, and just call it “MAGA” and not “GOP” anymore.

This is a cult. When they cannot conceive of life without Donald Trump and are already anointing him as their 2024 candidate, that’s no longer a party, it’s a cult. That’s it. And there are no principles other than “Trump principles,” which is whatever Trump says that day.

As far as “two presidents” go? Fine. No, seriously, fine. So long as it is president BIDEN that gives orders, signs bills, appoints people, including judges, all that, fine, Trump can sit in his “winter White House” and “tweet” away, which to him is “presidenting.” If the rubes are stupid enough to continue going to rallies once a month and donating money – fine.
