Pastor Urges Trump to ‘Shoot’ Democrats and Journalists if They Conspired to ‘Rig’ Election

Conspiracy theory spouting, Trump-supporting Pastor Rick Wiles, who claimed President Donald Trump’s impeachment was a “Jew coup,” and was banned from YouTube for hate speech, has some ideas on why the Trump administration was moving to legalize firing squads before the president leaves office in January, saying it’s simply because “they plan to shoot some people,” Law & Crime reports.

So, who are those people? Well, as you might expect, Trump’s opponents. Attorney General Bill Barr and the Justice Department are fast-tracking legislation that would legalize firing squad executions once again. There’s currently a slate of federal executions scheduled to be carried out before inauguration day, but these are scheduled to be carried out via lethal injection. Opposition to the death penalty has been one of the linchpins for Joe Biden’s campaign, meaning that once he takes office the firing squad rule will become extinct quickly — hopefully without such executions being carried out.

But for Wiles, who never misses a chance to fear-monger whenever possible, this new rule is a sure sign that Barr and Trump are hoping to line up traitors and let the shooting commence.

“Firing squad rule change fast-tracked,” Wiles said, reciting an apparent headline. He and others seated around a table the day before Thanksgiving for his TruNews program took turns discussing what they considered the issues of the day — the election; the firing of Defense Secretary Mark Esper; and the pardoning of Michael Flynn.

“I’m not trying to be funny about it … because they plan to shoot some people,” Wiles said. “They’re going to have a bunch of traitors, they’re going to line them up against the wall and start shooting them, because that’s what they deserve.”

Then he suggested that if Democrats, leftists, the media, professors, and scientists have been “working secretly with the Chinese Communist Party,” then “line them up against the wall and shoot them.”

“That’s what you do with them,” Wiles said.

But this is based on Trump’s dumb and completely wrong understanding of treason, and these executions simply won’t happen. Even Barr has explained that Trump’s use of the word “treason” is legally incorrect. Which means this firing squad execution has no teeth. Hopefully.

Rick Wiles may be a pastor, but he’s a hateful one. It’s unsurprising that he loves Trump, who ran on a platform of nationalism and xenophobia, which are the kind of things Wiles likes to get behind.
