CNN’s John Berman Blasts Trump, Calling Out the Malignant Narcissist that Doesn’t Care if You Die, Only His Fate

News producers have a tough task nowadays.

Generally speaking, huge tragedies or events happen once and dominate any given period in time. But now the U.S. faces increasing numbers of COVID positive cases and deaths per day with even greater increases on the horizon, something this site notes in nearly every political post. Concurrent to the explosion in COVID’s dangers, we have a political disease process attacking this country. Trump’s constant whining about winning has been reduced to little more than a plea for money. We have seen plenty of reporting on the fact that Trump’s staff and the Republican elite understand that it’s over.

The two are related. The more Trump does the latter, the further he divides people, the less he does to order distribution mandates to get the vaccines into people’s arms, the more COVID will kill into the new year.

CNN’s John Berman has seen enough and went on a justified righteous rant this morning directly calling Trump out for his failure as a president:

This morning, 102,000 Americans are in the hospital with coronavirus, that’s a record. It’s like the entire population of South Bend, Indiana in the hospital at once. An average of 2200 Americans die every day, 2200, and for all that death and suffering, the outgoing president is consumed with just one person: himself.

Trump is making all kinds of phone calls to election officials across the country and none to any COVID victims or COVID management teams in various states:

“He is literally trying to undermine democracy to overturn an election in public, as he holds maskless indoor events in small rooms in the White House. No public concern over a single life lost but abundant whining about his own personal political loss.Overnight CNN confirmed that the President made multiple calls to the Speaker of the House in Pennsylvania about that state’s election results. Again, as far as we know, no calls to the families of a coronavirus victims, but abundant masquerading as some kind of victim himself. This is not leadership. it’s theater, deadly undemocratic theater.”

Hitting it right on the head. Trump believes he is the victim. Meanwhile, he creates many more victims with his reckless activities planned as if there is no disease going around to worry about. It is grotesque, but more and more people need to be calling him out for it. Perhaps he will resign and stay in Florida. At least Mike Pence might step up to find a way to get a vaccine distribution plan going.

In other news, European countries have started to give the first vaccine inoculations to the public yesterday. We have no date certain yet.
