Election 2020

Pat Robertson Turns on Trump and Urges Him to Concede: ‘The President … Lives in an Alternate Reality’

President Donald Trump should definitely know his jig is up now that even Pat Robertson is telling him to stop acting “erratic” and that he needs to stop believing his own “alternate reality” about the election, Mediaite reports.

Yes I know it’s surprising that even Pat Robertson is owning up to this, but apparently, he’s not immune to reality here. Supposedly anyway.

Even though in October Robertson was telling viewers on his program The 700 Club that God told him Trump was going to win. He called for followers to get out the vote and said “It’s going to lead to civil unrest, and then a war against Israel and so forth.”

Robertson continued to maintain this even after the election was called for Biden, publicly saying “it isn’t over yet.”

Now, however, he thinks it is.

In a Monday segment flagged by Right Wing Watch, after The 700 Club aired a segment about Trump’s potential 2024 run, Robertson indeed said “With all his talent and the ability to raise money and grow large crowds, the president still lives in an alternate reality. He really does.”

“People say ‘Well he lies about this, that, and the other.’ No, he isn’t lying,” he said. “To him, that’s the truth.”

Robertson said he doesn’t think Trump should run in 2024 because that would be a “mistake” that would turn into a “sideshow.”

He congratulated Trump on the economy, but also remarked on a number of false claims Trump has made over the years, noting “He is very erratic and he’s fired people and he’s fought people and he’s insulted people… it’s a mixed bag.”

Robertson also recognized Biden’s win and at one point said it’s time to tell Trump “you’ve had your day and it’s time to move on.”

It’s kind of freaky when Robertson actually gets something right. But of course, he did have to also say that socialism worries him and add that “we don’t need a sideshow for 2024.”

It’s nice to know that Robertson is normal once in a while. Here’s what he had to say below, courtesy of Right Wing Watch:
