What is it with the representatives from Alabama? Yes, they are from deep red MAGA country, and yet there are a lot of deep red MAGA states that don’t have people like representative “Mo Brooks” the Congressman from Alabama’s Third District and incoming football coach proto-Senator Tommy Tuberville (who wasn’t even a good football coach so why Alabama would think he could handle the Senate is …), both of whom are determined to block as much as they possibly can with respect to Congress’s acceptance of the Electoral College votes.

None of us knew any of this procedure existed until this year because it was never an issue in any other election. Indeed there is video of Joe Biden gaveling down all attempts to debate Trump’s ascendence even though Russian interference had already been established.

So there isn’t supposed to be anything that either of them can do, but that’s not stopping either one of them from talking about what all they’re going to do for Trump and puffing their chests out. About what, we don’t know. Despite all this talk about proof of a steal or some big win, they’re sure keeping their proof quiet.

Regardless, Trump spoke on Rudy Giuliani’s radio show this morning (Yes, we – too, were surprised to learn that Rudy Giuliani had a radio show), Trump was giggly like our teenage daughters: LINK

“I spoke to a great gentleman, Tommy Tuberville, last night,” Trump told Giuliani. “And he’s so excited. He said you made me the most popular politician in the United States. He said, ‘I can’t believe it.’ He’s great. Great senator.”

That’s an odd statement when talking about a man who isn’t yet a Senator and won’t be for another two and a half weeks. But we can sure see what makes someone a great senator, “He said you made me the most popular politician in the United States” said the man who didn’t realize that Joe Biden received 81 million votes and is believed to be the man that saved the United States.

A spox for @TTuberville confirms he spoke on the phone with Pres Trump last night, as Trump told Giuliani on his radio show this morning.

As for if he's made a decision RE: objecting to electoral vote count on Jan 6: "He continues to perform due diligence," the spox says.

But obviously, the hilarious part is just how transactional Trump can be, Tuberville is fantastic because he’s doing Trump’s work in the Senate and thus Trump loves him. Pathetic.
