Don Jr. Shares Gross Doctored Video of Joe Biden on the Eve of Inauguration and Everyone is Grossed Out

So, Donald Trump Jr. tried to take one last swipe at President-elect Joe Biden before dear old dad vacates the presidency during Inauguration Day tomorrow. Specifically Junior shared a doctored video of Biden on Twitter, and like so many things the younger Trump has done before, that effort went sideways after he was called out by a fact-checker for promoting the bogus clip, The Independent reports.

The  clip, which was “liked” by more than 65,000 idiots, makes Biden appear lost and confused onstage at an event on January 16 and the younger Trump couldn’t resist adding:

“Yikes. If he was a Republican the 25th Amendment talk would be trending and rightfully so.”

But Junior’s rather obvious attempt at brown-nosing his father didn’t quite work, as non-profit fact-checking service Politifact reported Tuesday that the clip has been edited to boost a false narrative. And it branded the clip with it’s famous “Pants on Fire” label.

In the original footage for the event, Biden is seen appearing alongside Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. He’s announcing members of his White House Science team and isn’t the least bit befuddled as he makes his closing remarks. The video also shows another angle at one point where Biden leaves the podium and briefly stands by a table as he waits for other people to leave the stage.

But the video has apparently gathered a reasonable head of steam on Twitter, with more than 3 million views. Unfortunately, even though it’s been designated as “manipulated media,” users can still retweet it. Similar videos are also popping up on Facebook and that content is also being flagged in an effort to prevent the spread of additional misinformation.

Politifact referenced a misinformation guide published by The Washington Post which defined the video as being manipulated by “omission.” This nefarious practice involves “editing out large portions from a video and presenting it as a complete narrative, despite missing key elements,” The Post reports, noting it’s one way to skew reality.

This is the kind of behavior many of us have come to expect from Junior. His misadventures are hilarious as he frequently gets owned on Twitter. Kind of like what’s going on below, where users of the social media giant are having their say about the bogus Biden clip.

Just for the sake of clarity, and so that you can see that Biden isn’t the least bit confused, I’m providing the original video below.
