They will do nothing but get increasingly dangerous until they are stopped. Apparently, Don Jr. believes that in the United States, every losing political candidate gets one insurrection, to test the winner’s strength of conviction.

What they are really testing is faith in democracy and Junior knows it. From Mediaite:

Appearing on Fox News’ Hannity, the former president’s eldest son and potential political protegé rhetorically opened fire on his own party, accusing them of lacking the fortitude to win elections like his father — who lost the popular vote in both of his presidential races and presided over two straight House defeats and a Democratic takeover in the Senate in 2020.

“The reality is, every time the left gets power, they overreach,” the Fox host claimed. ” It’s a matter of how much freedom we lose in the meantime. They seem to be going for all of it in record time.

Both sides always say that the other overreaches, but this is rich coming from the people who blocked a SCOTUS justice, but then slipped their own through with a month left in the term. But it wasn’t the worst thing that Junior said:

“Without question, Sean. That’s because there’s no natural pushback. The Republicans aren’t willing to do it. They have shown that over the decades. They’d just rather lose gracefully, I guess. That’s not really a plan that I would go with, but it’s what they’ve done.”

“Donald Trump has shown that you don’t have to do that. You can actually push back.”

There is a natural pushback you little sh*t, it is called “democracy” and people who have faith in it can push back all the time. Donald Trump “pushed” his way into the Oval Office through a constitutional provision known as the Electoral College. He was happy to use the Constitution to win. But when he lost, he then incited an insurrection over refusing to lose “at all,” even as he got beat by seven million votes and over thirty electoral college votes.

Don Jr. is one of the two or three most dangerous political operatives in the country right now. Keep an eye on what he says because he just told Sean Hannity’s audience that the “Trump loss,” which includes a “pushback” known as the insurrection are all normal on the Right. They are increasingly violent.
