ESCALATION TIME: Filled With Vengeance, Trump Goes Right Back to Fundraising to OUST McConnell

Yeah, well, that didn’t take long.

It was Saturday afternoon when McConnell stepped up to the mic, after voting to acquit Trump on a technicality, only to then sound like the D.A. in a mob case, even invoking real prosecutors and the criminal justice system. McConnell deserves no praise for his cowardly act in failing to vote guilty. He so desperately wanted to. He likely still blamed Trump for losing the Senate majority which was almost as big a deal as the presidency. But a guilty vote would have separated him from his majority.

And obviously, for Trump it was all personal, he is likely the most thin-skinned person ever to hold high office. Baby.

So, Saturday afternoon it started. On Tuesday (the first workday after the impeachment vote) Trump called McConnell, “dour,” “sullen” a “hack,” and a major f’ing asshole who should be slinging hash at a Wafflehouse. We might be wrong on one of those but it doesn’t matter. He also called for the GOP to oust McConnell.

Today, McConnell said that he had no plans to ever speak to Trump again.

And now this. Trump is going right back to pumping the MAGAs for money. He says wants the money to oust McConnell. Whatever, Don, we believe you, definitely. He was going to be pumping those MAGAs for money the moment he stopped crying. Some of it will probably go to ousting McConnell and everyone else caught in the muzzle spray.

From HuffPo:

“After lying low for nearly a month after leaving office, Donald Trump is ramping up a return to relevancy that will involve renewed fundraising and continuing attacks on a new nemesis: the highest-ranking Republican in Washington, Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell.

Trump has not been collecting money for his Save America leadership committee since Jan. 6, the day a mob he incited attacked the U.S. Capitol, but a website that will permit him to tap into his lucrative small-donor list will be up and running within days, said a Republican familiar with his plans.”

Well, a couple things here. One, that’s really nice of Don to wait six weeks after his attempted coup to break from jamming the MAGAs for more, always more. Two, we certainly wouldn’t be calling it a return to relevancy, just a return to making money off relevancy.

We said that the GOP broke on Tuesday and it may well be for good. It is definitely broken until both of these two are out of politics. The factions forming now ain’t going away anytime soon.

This was inevitable. ETTD. Everything Trump touches dies. Now that the GOP is fractured, Trump’s going to be sniffing glue, again. Watch out, that’s when it gets dangerous.
