Humiliated Cruz Lands Back in Houston to Find Cameras Pointed at Him and Many Calling for His Resignation

So, we actually believe it when people say that Ted Cruz is the smartest person in the Senate. He has a background that one cannot deny. But as Forest says, it’s far more about doing stupid stuff than one’s IQ. What good does a 150 IQ do if one looks as stupid as two bunnies fighting? Not only did Ted go down there, which was bad enough, but he managed to literally make it worse by the hour. Every hour he put out an obvious lie and every time it just made people madder. Especially blaming his daughters wanting to go with friends for godsake.

It is one thing to do stupid things and it is much worse when there is no doubt that one is literally the most hated elected official on the continent. Ted already had people wanting to kneepcap him in the parking lot. The most beloved officials know that no pol is going to turn him over. Moreover, if one is someone who is really loved, the public will only be really mad, not seething.

And they are seething. There are a lot of calls for Ted to resign, some from influential people, and those are not even the first serious calls this year.

Now think about this, Ted lands to cameras on him walking off the jet into the terminal, already facing calls for his resignation. How broken-hearted is Texas going to be if Ted resigns? Damn, Abbot would love a chance to replace Ted. He would have a gold nugget and could hand it out to people that owe him a “big favor.” Moreover, it is not like there is big fear in Texas that the governor will appoint Sheila Jackson-Lee. Abbot would appoint someone whose every vote would match Ted’s.

So Ted is having a bad day and he plans on running for president as a hardcore MAGA. It is almost enough to give one tears of joy. But the eyes of Texas have been crying for days.

And FOX? No leeway:

Serious calls for him to resign and this is a good message.
