Ted Cruz and Madison Cawthorn Really Don’t Want You to See These Humiliating Videos of Them

Noah Mitchell, a political science student living in Washington, D.C. couldn’t pass up an opportunity to surprise Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) at the Capitol by asking them if they enjoyed recent trips they took that sparked plenty of controversies.

What he did is pretty funny — and from the looks of it, pretty embarrassing for Cruz, anyway. Cawthorn seemed unperturbed but the interactions are telling, Mediaite reports.

Both times Mitchell pretended he was taking selfies and when he did this with Cruz on Thursday, he asked “How was Cancún, Senator? It was good?”Of course, Cruz now realized this was no fan talking to him, so the smile on his face disappeared and he looked briefly flustered. Then he gulped and walked away, telling Mitchell “take care.”

“You didn’t enjoy it? No?” Mitchell fired back.

Then he decided to try that with Madison Cawthorn, asking him about his visit to Adolf Hitler’s “house.”

“How was visiting Hitler’s house?” Mitchell asked Cawthorn, who was all smiles. “Did you go to Hitler’s house?” He asked again.

“Nope, didn’t go there,” Cawthorn said, patting Mitchell on the shoulder.

That prompted him to ask the congressman about the Instagram post showing him at the Eagle’s Nest.

Cawthorn decided to nitpick.

“That, I believe, was the retreat.”

“The retreat? Okay,” Mitchell responded, laughing.

Then he tweeted Cawthorn’s posts from the Eagle’s Nest, writing “We have receipts @CawthornforNC. ‘Bucket list,’ really?”

It’s important to separate the wheat from the chaff and Mitchell outs the scoundrels in hilarious ways. A similarly hilarious situation occurred in January when he encountered Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-Ga.) on the steps of the Capitol building.

“You are a joke,” he tells her. Escorted by a friend, she stalks off saying “you don’t appreciate America.”

“I do appreciate America,” he retorts. “Have a good one!”

Subsequently, this happened:

I’m glad he got under this woman’s skin. I can’t think of a more deserving person for this to happen to.

The replies that follow the tweet are pretty funny as well.
