Former President Donald Trump took more potshots at his successor, Joe Biden, in a podcast, claiming Biden has forced the nation’s military to become “politically correct” by adopting progressive and gender-inclusive policies.

We’re used to Trump pulling nonsense like this, but on the podcast, hosted by former Trump flunky Sebastian Gorka, the ex-president claimed Biden has turned the U.S. military into a worldwide laughingstock.

As opposed to Trump’s habit of turning the U.S. into a laughingstock, I guess. You know, by doing things like appearing at a NATO summit in July 2018 and telling European dignitaries there that his father, Fred Trump was born in Germany, “in a very wonderful place in Germany,” in fact. He goes on to say this more than once, even though his father was actually born in New York City.

But Trump’s inaccuracies are by now, legendary and if the world is laughing at anyone, it’s him.

Nevertheless, according to the New York Post, Trump told Gorka on his podcast America First With Sebastian Gorka:

“I think they’re laughing at us like they never laughed before. You look at what’s going on legally within the Army. I asked someone the other day, so if a general tells a private what to do. If the general’s slightly harsh, is that acceptable? And they weren’t sure how to answer the question.”

“Do you understand?” Trump said. “This is just crazy what’s going on.”

All that was in response to Gorka asking him about “female-shaped body armor” and “maternity flight suits” in the military. Then he claimed “morale is not good” at the Fort Bragg Army Base.

Of course, Gorka’s questions were spurred by President Joe Biden’s nomination of the first woman to serve as Army Secretary and his repealing of Trump’s ban on transgender people serving in the military.

While Trump didn’t comment on these two recent policies he went on to criticize Biden for turning the U.S. armed forces soft.

“Our politically correct armed forces, where they’re sending out documents talking about all sorts of things that shouldn’t be discussed — that shouldn’t even be thought about,” Trump said. “I think the world is laughing at us. They weren’t laughing at us before when we were in.”

But actually, the world was laughing at Trump when he suggested people could use bleach to beat coronavirus. They were laughing at him when he claimed windmills cause c*ncer. You know, things like that. Folks aren’t laughing at the Biden administration for noting sensible things like “America is stronger, at home and around the world when it is inclusive. The military is no exception.”

Most of us have come to accept that logic is lost on Trump.
