Trump, Who is No Longer President, Calls for the Resignation of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley

Is there ever a day when Donald Trump isn’t angry at something — or someone? The latest target of his bile is Gen. Mark Milley (again) and Wednesday he called for Milley to resign as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (despite the fact that Trump himself appointed him to the position cough-cough).

Milley wound up in the news last week after his impassioned response to a question he was asked about critical race theory during an appearance in front of the House Armed Services Committee last week, Mediaite reports. During the hearing, Milley noted he finds it “offensive” to accuse military personnel of being “‘woke,’ because we’re studying some theories that are out there.”

But that’s not all. A new book is also reporting Trump and Milley got into the mother of all shouting matches in the Situation Room last year. This has resulted in Trump doing what he usually does whenever something unflattering is revealed about him, and he called it “Fake News” in a statement Wednesday, retorting “If he had displayed such disrespect for his Commander-in-Chief I would have fired him immediately.”

Trump also attacked Milley for apologizing after appearing as part of that now infamous Trump photo opportunity in Lafayette Square, calling it a “groveling apology.”

The former president went on to claim that Milley “practically begged me not to send in the military to stop the riots” last year and then criticized him for defending the teaching of critical race theory.

“Gen. Milley ought to resign, and be replaced with someone who is actually willing to defend our Military from the Leftist Radicals who hate our Country and our Flag,” Trump said.

Milley also spoke out on climate change last week, and Trump, who has repeatedly claimed climate change is a hoax, having famously removed the U.S. from the Paris Climate Accord, called for his resignation at that time as well.

How typical of Trump to think he can call for something like this when he’s no longer president.
