The most thinly disguised MAGA in existence, Meghan McCain will be leaving The View by the end of July. We suspect that there will be great joy across the Twitterverse. Meghan was in a no-win situation (one in which she placed herself). She was a MAGA through and through, and thus drove the liberals crazy with her ever more extreme views and snowflake attitude whenever criticized. Meanwhile, the actual MAGAs couldn’t stand her, either, because she was a McCain who hated Trump personally.

We have always written that – in our opinion – were it not for Trump’s hatred of her father, Meghan would’ve been one of Trump’s biggest apologists. Her husband is full MAGA.

According to Page Six:

The conservative co-host is set to announce her resignation on Thursday morning’s show, ending her four-season run at the end of July, according to the Daily Mail.

“We have tried to keep her, but she is adamant that now is the right time for her to leave,” a Disney source told the Daily Mail.

Adamant? Well, okay. She is a new mother, has more money than the rest of the hosts put together, squared, (Mom is rich, Dad never was) And she probably doesn’t need the hassle of having Joy, Whoopi, et. al. trying to talk sense to her every day when she’d prefer to MAGA.

Maybe the daily clashes just got to be too much? Because the departure seems sudden. Earlier this year, Meghan appeared set to go for a while:

At the beginning of the year, McCain sounded like she wasn’t planning an imminent exit from the talk show — despite her regular on-air clashes with Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and other more liberal co-hosts.

“Because whether we like it or not, I’m not going anywhere on the show, Joy’s not going anywhere on the show, we all have to live and co-exist together just like Americans right now,” she said on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” in mid-January, “which is a little deeper of an answer, but we’re all going to try and co-exist and I really want to have us all move forward.”

Meghan? We promise that the rest will move forward.

She will be replaced by another conservative, surely. Likely blonde, because that’s how conservative women are pre-ordered nowadays. But ideally, the conservative will not be interrupting on a minute-by-minute basis and readily handle criticism without pouting. That’s going to be one hell of a search, though.

Buh-bye, Meghan.
