Twitter Celebrates Friday of a Long Weekend with Some Fun: ‘Meghan McCain Is the Type of Person Who…’

Sometimes people have had enough serious political talk, though today did require some serious attention. We didn’t just have the fallout from the Trump indictments, but Trump might be staring at brand new, and far more serious, indictments for the pressure he put on Arizona officials requesting that they stop the vote count. These reports impact the health of our democracy going forward and will require a lot of analysis.

But we’re headed into a long holiday weekend and we’re already reported on some of the entertainment – if one can call it that – in Kimberly Guilfoyle’s bizarre need to share her “abilities” in the bedroom in front of groups of perfect strangers. One often wonders if she would rather just demonstrate her skills to the strangers rather than talk… but now we’re getting mean.

But along that line, the entertaining thing, and with a three-day weekend coming, there are times when one should put away the hard news and just have a little fun.

Earlier Friday, Meghan McCain announced that she would be leaving The View at the end of the month. Meghan didn’t give specific reasons for her sudden departure, but we suspect that being a new mother likely plays a role, being a very wealthy new mother probably also factored in, and being a wealthy new mother who regularly is made to look like an ass on a show in which conservative propaganda doesn’t go unchallenged had something to do with it.

McCain isn’t particularly popular with the Twitterverse and thus the news was greeted with… gleeful acceptance? Whatever it was, somehow “Meghan McCain is the type of person who…” began trending and some of the answers are perfect weekend comedy, well-deserved at that:

The perfect ending. McCain never had to apologize for being the daughter of an incredibly wealthy mother and military officer – politician father. She just didn’t need to bring it up every conversation. People would have respected her far more had she kept it zipped type.
