The wonderful thing about “American culture” is that it’s pretty much “every” culture all rolled into one because that’s what the United States has been ever since its founding (we set aside, for now, the two original sins, the Native American genocide and slavery). From the beginning, from the Statue of Liberty, give me your tire, poor… the United States not only took immigrants from everywhere, but the United States also wanted immigrants from everywhere, and we got the best of the people from various nations. It is always easier to stay at home and complain than pick up and leave for a better life. The United States got the ones that picked up for a better life.

We will not be naive and say that the U.S. didn’t favor immigrants from some areas more than others, but in relation to other countries, the U.S. set the mark. For those very reasons we have some of the best Italian restaurants in the world, Yoga is as central to the culture in L.A. as anywhere else in the world, God help us all if we didn’t have Mexican and Central American culture here. We even get a drip or two of Canadian culture. And the reason we have this culture is we invite immigrants to participate in our government and our freedoms.

So when Newt is talking about replacing American “culture,” we don’t think culture is the word he’s looking for:

They want to be in America, and I think what is hard for most of us to accept is that the anti-American Left would love to drown traditional, classic Americans with as many people as they can who know nothing of American history, nothing of American tradition, nothing of the rule of law. When you go and you look at the radical left, this is their ideal model is to get rid of the rest of us because we believe in George Washington, we believe in the Constitution.

We suspect that Newt has no problem with Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio, both with Cuban (Communist) roots, whose families fled to the United States for a life of Democracy, just as immigrants are doing now.

This man, talking about Democracy, was speaking to Maria Bartiromo, who engaged in more disinformation regarding a constitutional election per minute than any other television personality. In fact, to us, it is looking more and more like the “leftist socialists” (as we’re known) and newly arrived immigrants believe in democracy more so than the old white establishment that seems to be able to justify anything in its need to justify retaining power.

Right now, there is far more patriotism and commitment to George Washington and belief in the Constitution on the left than in the party that attempted to overthrow the government. Newt’s problem isn’t one of “culture” so much as “color.”
