Shock Jock and Former Anchor Who Railed Against Dr. Fauci Has Died From…You Guessed It, COVID-19

A local news station from a South Florida-based radio show. WPTV’s shock-jock right-wing radio host Dick Farrel died from the many complications due to COVID-19 this week. Unsurprisingly, his friends said that Farrel changed his mind about the vaccine after acquiring the disease.

In a Facebook post-dated June 27th, Farrel said he would never take “the Poison” that “Pfizer and Moderna and J&J are peddling. “I know I don’t need it, nor ever will,” he added.

Farrell’s hatred of the entire vaccine movement ran deep, as he tied it to the deep state hatred of Dr. Fauci, one of the world’s foremost experts in infectious disease, who has far more enjoyable things to do in his life as we’re sure anyone can attest.

According to one of his friends:

“COVID took one of my best friends! RIP Dick Farrel. He is the reason I took the shot. He texted me and told me to ‘Get it!’ He told me this virus is no joke and he said, “I wish I had gotten it!” said Farrel’s close friend Amy Leigh Hair on her Facebook page. She told WPTV, “I was one of one the people like him who didn’t trust the vaccine. I trusted my immune system. I just became more afraid of getting COVID-19 than I was of any possible side effects of the vaccine. I’m glad I got vaccinated.”

Well, we’re here to tell her that she’s not out of the woods yet. First of all, it takes two weeks after one’s second shot to do much good at all, second of all, as this writer can attest, being 3-4 weeks post-vaccination does not make one immune, it only makes one less likely to be hospitalized and die, or at least that’s the going theory because it can feel like a bad flu, not a bad cold, a bad flu, even if vaccinated.

We take no joy in this man’s death, we are angry that this country hasn’t reached herd immunity,  making this writer (me) sick, and angry that this country is so damned polarized it’s made a world epidemic a political issue. So happy to hear that it took a friend dying, saying he wished he got the shot, to convince a woman to take Dr. Fauci seriously.

Jesus these people.
