Mike Pence’s life was so endangered on January 6th that the crowds got far closer to the Senate than we’ve ever been allowed to really know. (Outside of impeachment evidence.) The Secret Service rushed Pence down to a waiting SUV. Pence didn’t get in it because he didn’t trust the drivers. He had never seen them. For some reason, Pence didn’t even trust the Secret Service other than his own detail. Make of that what you will.

It sounds to us like Mike knew that whatever was going on upstairs, he didn’t trust the Secret Service, perhaps because he wondered if the two were related. We do not know. All we know is that something awful and suspicious occurred that day.

Now Pence wants to minimize the entire thing and it’s not hard to give a good educated guess as to why. One must minimize January 6th if one wants a place in the modern Republican party.

So he is minimizing it by blaming the entity they always blame; The media. From Hannity’s website:

Former vice president Mike Pence said media reporting on the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection is meant to “demean” supporters of former president Donald Trump, some of whom stormed the Capitol that day shouting, “Hang Mike Pence!”

In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News on Monday night, Pence sought to explain media coverage of the Jan. 6 riot in which he was hurriedly evacuated from the Senate chamber and taken to a secure location amid threats to his life.

“I know the media wants to distract from the Biden administration’s failed agenda by focusing on one day in January,” Pence told Hannity. “They want to use that one day to try and demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again and prosperous again and supported our administration in 2016 and 2020.”

For one selfish reason alone, keeping his place in the Republican party, Mike Pence is willing to allow other Republicans to minimize what happened to him that day, hang Pence! Hang Pence!

And let’s not forget that Trump’s supporters disrespected the Capitol in one of the worst ways possible…by spreading their feces and urine in the Capitol hallways.

He wants these same people’s support. Politics. No, not Politics. A fascist movement and Pence wants in.
