‘Smiling’ Suspect Charged With Throwing Molotov Cocktail at Democratic HQ in Texas

We on the left have come to expect this stuff post-January 6th. In a perverse way, it’s almost a wonder that we haven’t seen more. Violence begets violence, and we’ve read several surveys in which more and more MAGAs have come to see violence as a legitimate political tool. We presume MAGAs only approve of violence when white people are angry about liberals winning something, or wanting to implement something given that win. They continue to reference the summer of 2020 as wrong.

Now we have a man throwing a small homemade bomb at a small Democratic headquarters, according to the Daily Beast:

An Austin man has been arrested and charged for throwing a Molotov cocktail at the Travis County Democratic Party office. Authorities allege that Ryan Faircloth, 30, threw the homemade explosive at the office earlier this week. He was nabbed through a combination of surveillance video footage and a Facebook tipster who noted that Faircloth’s online posts had a similar style to a threatening, politically charged note left at the scene.

Authorities have charged Faircloth with arson and possessing a prohibited weapon. On Friday, he was behind at a Travis County jail on $40,000 bail. No employees were hurt but the explosive caused a small fire. Texas County Democratic Party chair Kate Naranjo said they’d installed cameras after a similar attack last year in which vandals damaged the building and scrawled messages like “Reconstitute the Communist Party.”

In his arrest photo, Faircloth is seen grinning at the camera, which is also entirely consistent with what one would expect. He probably isn’t firing a Molotov cocktail at the building to hurt anyone, so much as to send his political statement and upset the libs. That is what they do and, increasingly, they do it violently.
