Twitter Has a Field Day With Trump’s ‘Roped Off’ Thanksgiving, ‘Crime Scene Tape Would’ve Been More Appropriate!’

Mar-a-Lago is quite the place.

It actually is one of the nation’s most historic and iconic “places,” even though it should never have been one person’s “home,” nor should it now be a “club” that costs $200,000 to join. No one on this staff has ever been there, but we presume that $200,000 in dues to join the club means that it’s pretty nice.

(It probably should be a museum or something).

They also have events for holidays, like the “famed” New Year’s Eve party. Last night, they had “Thanksgiving Dinner” night. Do not, for one second, think that your measly $200,000 gets you into Thanksgiving dinner. No, that’s extra. In fact, other than getting beyond the gate, we suspect that everything is a little extra.

The people who are still members at Mar-a-Lago have to be absolutely committed MAGAs. Maybe in 2014, a Democrat could still sort of justify (somehow, if rich enough) the expense. But having seen what Trump has done to the country, it has to be stuffed with nothing but MAGAs now, correct? And these aren’t ordinary MAGAs, they are the upper upper crust, “Trump’s type of people.”

This, of course, distinguishes his club members from the crowds that gather at rallies and yell; “Let’s go Brandon,” and buy trinkets like MAGA key chains. Trump loves their votes, he really loves it when they donate 20% of their paycheck and just as clearly hates them as people.

But does Trump like any other people? Even his type? We have to question it now because it is obvious in last night’s Thanksgiving picture, that Trump’s table at the gala is roped off from the other guests (though, yes, he’s seen taking pictures). He clearly doesn’t want to sit among them and enjoy their company, which – again, just takes one’s breath away over how much Trump would hate even sharing a Big Mac with the red hats.

It is just so quintessential Trump. Always setting himself apart, always too good for the crowd, any crowd. It fits. This is the same guy who three years ago said, when asked what he was most thankful for, he referenced himself and all he’d done for the country. Last night, he likely felt like he’d earned it again, and thanked himself for himself by roping himself off, just to enjoy his own company.
