Biographer Says the Trump Family Won’t Be Able to ‘Wriggle Out’ of Trouble This Time

Trump biographer Michael D’Antonio recently appeared on a CNN segment where he said that he believes Donald Trump may be facing real legal trouble that he can’t “wriggle out” of, though he has done so many times in the past. According to Letitia James, the Attorney General of New York, they have found several confirmed statements where Trump and his family have made misleading statements or omissions for loans, taxes, and other financial endeavors.

James is currently investigating the Trump family and following up on these leads, to figure out which family members knew what and who was responsible for these financial mishaps. D’Antonio told CNN about the situation: “I think there is no chance that Donald Trump didn’t know absolutely everything that was going on.”

“If you add up what these discrepancies reach as a total, it’s half a billion dollars or more, and that’s just in the examples that the attorney general noted,” D’Antonio pointed out. He went on to say that the former president is “responsible for training his children to play the same games, so if he didn’t know precisely what they were doing, he knew how they were operating.”

The CNN guest also spoke about the Trump family’s history of facing legal repercussions for their financial lies, such as “the Trump SoHo case, where early in the sales, Ivanka Trump went out and said that 60 per cent of the units were already committed to buyers.” The SoHo was the building Trump used in his famous show “The Apprentice”, but unlike what his daughter advertised to potential clients, only 15-20% of the rooms were committed to buyers at the time.
