Jen Psaki Absolutely Destroys Peter Doocy After He Whines That Biden isn’t Being Nice Enough

The Fox reporter slammed Biden for not being nice enough to senators who "don't agree with voting rights."

As almost all know, Joe Biden gave one of the best speeches of his life last Tuesday, one of the best speeches given this century. In that speech, he put the question directly to the Republicans, including Sens. Manchin and Sinema, the two most effective GOP senators in DC. Are they for democracy, where the nation makes voting easy, to encourage more democracy. Or not?

Peter Doocy wanted to know why Joe Biden spoke so critically of Republicans that oppose voting rights.

“As you talked about a year ago and working with Republicans, now [President Biden] is talking about Republicans that don’t agree with voting rights.

“He’s describing them as George Wallace, Bull Connor, and Jefferson Davis. What happened to the guy who, when he was elected said: ‘To make progress me must stop treating our opponents as our enemy’?

Peter, a person who wants to make it harder for certain underrepresented Americans, the poor, Black Americans, very young Americans, new citizens – in other words, the new “Jim Crow” people, they are, actually enemies to the constitution, and not opponents.

But Psaki had to come up with an answer that was both stronger than ours, while also being palatable to the average viewer, and within the bounds of class and decorum one would expect from the White House:

I think everybody listening to that speech, who’s speaking on the level, as my mother would say, would note that he was not comparing them as humans. He was comparing the choice to those figures in history and where they’re going to position themselves if they as it – as they determine whether they’re going to support the fundamental right to vote or not.”

Actually, Jen, one could make a very good case that – on the level – Joe Biden was comparing them as people because the issues are almost identical.

Republicans watched as they lost Georgia for one reason only – Stacey Abrams and her ability to organize the black vote, the previously disenfranchised – and the Republicans decided that they will never allow that to happen again.

So someone is going to have to explain to us how – in context – they are not the same people, trying to withhold rights from Black Americans in order to keep their own power. We really aren’t all that sure as to what’s different.
