2024 Election

Trump Reportedly Saying Ron DeSantis is Too Boring to Beat Him, ‘Dull Personality, No Charisma’

According to several different anonymous sources who are close to Trump, the former FLOTUS is trashing Florida Governor Ron Desantis in private, dismissing him as boring and emphasizing that he wouldn’t stand a chance if they both ran for president in 2024. This is no surprise, as Desantis is one of the only Republicans who actually would give Trump a run for his money in an election, as well as one of the only republicans who hasn’t said he won’t run against Trump if the opportunity presents itself.

While Trump is still number one in most polls for Republican voters, if the former president is removed from surveys DeSantis becomes a clear favorite in the party. DeSantis has never actively spoken out against Trump personally, which is appreciated by the more far-right Republicans, but he has disagreed with him a few times in the past, making him pleasing to more centrist leaning republicans as well.

On Thursday, DeSantis guest-starred in a podcast titled “Ruthless”, and he did say that he regrets not speaking out against Trump more when the former president told Americans to stay home at the beginning of the pandemic. This dissension, along with DeSantis’s possible run for the 2024 presidential seat, is making Trump so mad that he “usually gives DeSantis a pop in the nose in the middle of that type of conversation,” according to one source.

That same source said that they have heard Trump insult DeSantis many times recently, and they are not the only Trump staff to say so. Trump makes it a point to exaggerate just how much he wouldn’t be worried about DeSantis if he had to run against him. Finally, the source added: “He says DeSantis has no personal charisma and has a dull personality.”
