Pat Robertson Claims That Putin Was ‘Compelled by God’ to Invade Ukraine to Start the ‘End Times’

As if this weren’t already a crazy enough time politically and internationally, televangelist Pat Robertson has emerged from retirement to inform the world that God has chosen Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine so that the country can be used as a “staging ground” to launch an attack on Israel and thus bring about the End Times.

That’s according to Mediaite, and Robertson made this cheerful announcement on Monday.

“Putin’s out of his mind, yes,” the 91-year-old televangelist said on The 700 Club. “Maybe so, but at the same time, he’s being compelled by God. He went into Ukraine but that wasn’t his goal.”

Robertson went on to explain that Putin’s goal is “to move against Israel” and several other countries, including Iran, Turkey, and Bulgaria.

“All of that area is going to be mobilized against Israel in the latter days, and God says, ‘I am going to deal with it.’ So, you can look at your map and read your newspapers, you can listen to your news, but know of a fact that God is bringing to pass what he prophesied through his servant, Ezekiel.”

He cited chapters 38 and 39 of the Book of Ezekiel to illustrate his point, declaring “it’s all there.”

“God is getting ready to do something amazing and that will be fulfilled,” he said. “And what Putin is doing by moving as he is to set up Ukraine as a staging ground for one of the armies… and it’s going to happen. So I just say, that’s what’s coming up.”

“Is Putin crazy? Is he mad? Well, perhaps. But God says, ‘I’m going to put hooks in your jaw and I’m gonna draw you into this battle whether you like it or not.’ And he’s being compelled after the move into the Ukraine. He’s being compelled to move again, to get land bridge and across the Dardanelles with Turkey. And watch what’s going to happen next. You read your bible because it’s coming to pass.”

I’m going to say at this point that it doesn’t hurt to ask if Pat Robertson is crazy, or mad. Certainly, he has more time on his hands since he retired from the 700 Club. Enough time to come up with bonkers ideas like this. I mean, he’s had many nutball ideas and it wasn’t all that long ago that he predicted Trump would win the 2020 presidential election because God didn’t want Satan to be president.

Perhaps Robertson just needs to stay retired. You can decide for yourself thanks to the clip below.
