Rudy Giuliani Had an Incredibly Awkward Run-In With Michael Cohen at a Fancy NYC Restaurant

Former Trump attorneys Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani are not what one would call pals, and recently, they had a run-in at a posh New York restaurant that was, um, awkward, to say the least. Awkward enough, in fact, to make some onlookers wonder if “hell had finally frozen over.”

Both battling attorneys showed up at the popular restaurant Fresco by Scotto Thursday night. According to sources at the pricey mecca of power brokers, the intention was to seat Cohen and Giuliani at different sides of the restaurant, Page Six reports. But, as intentions often do, these went awry.

According to one source, “Before they arrived, other VIPs snagged their planned tables and ultimately the two Trump-connected figures ended up with neighboring tables.”

“There was zero interaction between them and when NYC ex-comptroller Bill Thompson walked in, he went over to say hello to the former mayor.”

Another source said, “Cohen then went around the restaurant, shaking hands with other diners, while giving Rudy a wide berth … it was so icy between the pair, it seemed like hell had finally frozen over.”

A guest at a nearby table could be heard saying, “I feel like I’m in the middle of a boxing ring before the match is about to start. You can feel the tension in the air.”

Cohen declined to comment on the situation but other sources at the restaurant said as he was doing the rounds, he pointedly avoided Giuliani, whom he calls “dopey Rudy.”

Giuliani, for his part, became taciturn. And apparently had another issue with that misbehaving hair dye.

“Giuliani sat their stone-faced, at a table with friends, with what was left of his hair dye trickling down his brow,” according to one onlooker.

Cohen pleaded guilty in August 2018 to charges that included campaign finance violations, tax fraud, and bank fraud after he was ensnared in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. This led to his disbarment as a lawyer and he was sentenced to three years in prison.

There is no love between the two attorneys and Cohen recently called Giuliani an “idiot … who drinks too much,” following that up with a prediction that the attorney will flip on Trump sooner or later.

Giuliani has used equally flattering words, calling Cohen “pathetic” and a “serial liar.”

Meanwhile, Giuliani just had a rather embarrassing moment on The Masked Singer when he was unmasked and some of the judges walked off in disgust. He is now in discussions about appearing before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th attempted siege of the Capitol.
