George Conway Points Out Devastating Number at the Bottom of Accounting Firm’s Letter to Trump

One can safely say that conservative lawyer George Conway has little love for Donald Trump. But one thing that Conway definitely has is an eye for detail. And as Raw Story notes, he’s flagged a very important detail in the recently revealed Mazars letter that indicates the former accounting firm of the Trump Organization has provided the New York State Office of The Attorney General considerable cooperation in its investigation.

In a Twitter post, Conway points out something that’s known as the Bates number. This number appears at the bottom of the first page of the Mazars letter: 0052838.

One follower asked Conway what this meant, and he responded that “it suggests that the accountants have produced at least 525,939 pages of material to prosecutors.”

Dang!

The Mazars letter, revealed by the NY AG’s office on Monday, told the Trump Organization that “statements about Donald Trump’s financial condition ranging from the years 2011 through 2020 ‘should no longer be relied upon,'” per Raw Story.

Mazars came to this conclusion based on Attorney General Letitia James’ office, as well as its own independent review of Trump’s records.

The letter also reports that this is the reason the accounting firm parted company with the Trump Organization and added it “would do everything possible to facilitate a smooth transition to your new tax preparers.

The revelation of the letter put Eric Trump in a sour mood and he vowed to go after James for purportedly “unethical” behavior.

Obviously, Eric lives in a different world than the rest of this. Mazars had a long-term relationship with the Trump Organization and made it pretty clear there were some shady shenanigans afoot. James has assiduously investigated the Trump Organization and she knows her stuff.

Sounds like Eric Trump’s perhaps getting a little worried. I’m guessing with good reason. It’s reassuring to watch Conway point these things out. Obviously this is one sharp-eyed man who doesn’t miss much.
