Kremlin Says Lindsey Graham is a Drunk Who’s ‘Lost His Mind’ for Calling for Putin’s Assassination

Lindsey Graham has gotten a lot of criticism over a statement that, quite frankly, this staff thought was one of his more sensible ones since John McCain passed.

As put by Yahoo News:

Mr Graham wrote a tweet asking if there was a “Brutus in Russia” – referring to one of the assassins of Julius Caesar – or for a “more successful Colonel Stauffenberg,” recalling the German soldier who tried kill Adolf Hitler. The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country — and the world — a great service,

Given that part of NATO’s plan involves doing all it can to have someone overthrow Putin, it didn’t seem all that unreasonable to us. Putin is in charge of an army that is shelling defenseless innocents. But it did spark a lot of criticism here at home. Graham also got a lot of heat from, well – Putin.

A spokesman for the Kremlin, Dmitri Peskov, lashed out at Mr Graham following the comments, suggesting the senator was suffering from insanity – or intoxication.

“Unfortunately, in such an extremely tense atmosphere, there is a hysterical escalation of Russophobia,” Peskov responded. “These days, not everyone manages to maintain sobriety, I would even say sanity, and many lose their mind,” he said.

“Phobia” means fear. Western leaders are afraid of tipping off World War III, we doubt Putin could find a U.S. soldier who fears Russia. He then goes on to call Graham a drunk that is insane and losing his mind.

Graham’s call for Putin to be assassinated drew a stern rebuke from Russia, with the Ambassador to Russia to the US accusing him of inciting terrorism

Graham lost his mind quite a while ago, being Trump’s lapdog to this day. But no one ever brought up him being a drunk or anything close. It feels like just more propaganda, dropped in to punish a U.S. Senator who said one of the more sensible things we’ve heard.
