Kayleigh Says Women Have NO RIGHT to the ‘Body Inside Your Body’ When You are Pregnant

Have you ever noticed that the people most in favor of ending abortion are the very same people that would likely never have to consider any downside to a pregnancy? And have you ever noticed that people that espouse to be very very pro-life are the very first to have an abortion (Or, more likely, arrange for and pay for abortions), when a pregnancy is incredibly inconvenient, meaning extremely embarrassing? Last, have you ever noticed that very wealthy white women are going to continue to have access to abortion services no matter what? They’ll have a “female problem” and need a D&C and the file will never contain any reference to being pregnant at the time?

Yes, indeed everyone who is pro-choice has recognized all of these realities, so do anti-choice women, they just don’t talk about it.

Which is what makes us wonder about Kayleigh giving AOC advice as to who controls whose body and when.

As Kayleigh has let everyone know, she is quite proud of her first child #BabyBlake (Yes, she gives her son a hashtag.) And yes, all of us first-time or only child parents are insufferable in talking about our child. But what Kayleigh conveniently skips over is the fact that Kayleigh had her baby as a 30 year old, married, white woman, who – on her own, made six figures, and that’s not counting what her husband brought it.

It is likely that fewer than 1% of the women in this country in the same position would even consider an abortion. So it’s extremely easy for Kayleigh to lecture AOC about there being a second body in a pregnant woman. There is not. A “baby” is not a “baby” until born. Until that time, it is a fetus that could not survive without the woman.

Meanwhile, there is most definitely a woman there who does not and will not “enjoy” all the advantages Kayleigh had. Tragically, but ironically, the SCOTUS ruling will not cut down on abortions. It will just make them much more dangerous and much more difficult for certain women, especially at that point in their lives, especially if we’re talking about a “girl,” and not a “woman.”

But if people like Kayleigh really did want to cut down on abortions, if they really really did believe they were “saving lives,” they would do everything possible to ensure that at least some women (not the ones who are under 21, incest, health…) at least some women would have the baby if they simply had some of the comforts Kayleigh enjoys. If Republicans mandated two months of maternity leave, government-guaranteed, if Republicans provided universal child care from two months to pre-school and universal preschool, if Republicans provided more maternal financial benefits, and – especially, if Republicans made it a felony for any father to not at least be available and responsible for 50% of the actual care, and 50% for ALL expenses or face a year in prison, it would both prove that Republicans do actually care about “life” in some way and would drastically cut down on the need for abortions.

Instead, they simply outlaw abortions because comfy, pompous, rich, Kayleigh decided that there is a body inside women. Watch her attempt to explain this on Fox and how AOC can control the right to her body but not a part of it:

In effect, Kayleigh just said that Kayleigh has a right to that “body inside AOC’s body” because she’s the one mandating that it be carried to term.

Prove you’re pro-life, Kayleigh, then talk bodies.
