Surprise, Surprise (NOT!): Kellyanne Conway’s Book is a Total and Complete Flop
Donald Trump’s former “it” girl Kellyanne Conway was purportedly paid millions for her memoir Here’s The Deal which was published by Threshold Editions, an imprint of Simon & Schuster last week. Unfortunately, the publisher is really taking it on the chin because Conway’s book has gone floparunio, selling a measly 25,000 in its first week, according to NPD Book Scan, per Queerty. And it’s expected to sell even less in its second week.
Of course, it’s not unusual for some books to just plain bomb. Some books never get past 25,000 copies, but the situation really looks kind of puny when you compare Conway’s sales numbers against Mary Trump’s, who’s first book Too Much and Never Enough zipped all the way up to 1.35 million copies sold in its first week, and former National Security Adviser John Bolton, whose book The Room Where It Happened, which sold 750,000 in its first week.
Despite its less than stellar debut, Conway’s book still buzzed its way up to the top of The New York Times bestseller list for print and e-book nonfiction. And of course, Conway couldn’t keep from bragging about this on social media.

Of course, I’ve written over the past few days about Conway’s attempts to get back into Donald Trump’s good graces after upsetting him by noting she told him he’d lost the 2020 election. That, of course, led the ex-president to get all snorty and farty and attack her.
Trump says Kellyanne Conway never told him he lost the 2020 election. In her new book she writes she “may have been the first person Donald Trump trusted in his inner circle who told him that he had come up short this time”https://t.co/pbYpAOjtht pic.twitter.com/y4ZnUgFvxb

Queerty notes that it isn’t that big of a surprise that Conway’s book wound up on The New York Times bestseller list since Conway has launched a seemingly unending media blitz, appearing on such wide-ranging programs as CBS Mornings with Robin Roberts to The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. She’s even appeared on The View, where she really got into a heated row with fellow former Trump colleague Alyssa Farah Griffin. Here’s the clip below along with some thoughts about Conway and her book from fellow Twitter users.
