Donald Trump’s attorney has a new “Trump reinstatement plan” for the year 2023. It has no chance of working. None. It could, however, kick off a wave of violence that will resemble a flash of hot war. It is very dangerous.

Unlike Mike Lindell’s ridiculous hidden vote theories and such, this plan is formal enough that if the GOP takes control of Congress in 2023, perhaps three state legislatures – emboldened by the SCOTUS saying that state legislatures are the final arbiter of everything with respect to elections may decertify their elections. If that happens – and we simply cannot say they’re above it – it will not result in Trump being president. It will result in vastly increased tension, especially if Trump is facing charges at that point.

It was all kicked off by a Wisconsin Supreme Court decision. This is Slate’s description of a case driven by a FAR right majority on the WI Supreme Court, and be scared at the overreach:

On Friday, the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s Republican majority outlawed ballot drop boxes by a 4–3 vote, abolishing a reform that had made voting easier and more accessible in the state. The lead opinion—authored by the notorious fringe-right reactionary Justice Rebecca Grassl Bradley—contains alarming language casting doubt on the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s 2020 victory. It also grants credence to the GOP’s collapsing “investigation” to prove that illegal votes put Biden over the top in Wisconsin. Without a shred of evidence, the court has thrown its weight behind a dangerous conspiracy theory that helped to fuel the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Given that the most “conspiracy theory MAGA” wrote the opinion, she added language to a statute and simply pronounced that the voters themselves had to deliver the ballots personally, making it far more difficult to vote, despite the fact that the statute says nothing about a voter having to personally deliver a ballot. But the primary problem is noted above, it says that it casts doubts on Biden’s victory. Now, the conservative Wisconsin legislature can attempt to “decertify” its presidential electors well after the fact and point to the court. They might say they “have to.”

Of course, this is just bullsh*t and would only happen under Trump’s fascist instinct and lies about the election. Now there is fear that two more states (Usually thought to be Michigan and Pennsylvania) might somehow do the same, and suddenly send “something” to a “presumed” GOP majority in Congress in 2023, decertifying their 2020 electors. Anyone who puts it past Speaker Jim Jordan (IF there is a GOP majority) to not bring this up for a vote of some kind has not been paying attention. One would presume there are enough sane Republicans in the Senate to oppose it, even if the GOP has the majority in the Senate, but again – assumptions.

It will not work. Biden is the president and even the Supreme Court is not going to reverse a process that was done legally. Additionally, there will be even more evidence from the Select Committee about Trump’s criminality. But that is also a bit beside the point. These people simply do not care. These people violently attacked the Capitol because they believed Trump’s lies. They can do it again. And they wouldn’t care even if they knew he lost the actual election. They will give up democracy if it means they get power.

So Trump is all over this:

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has just declared the “Unlock” Boxes, or Ballot “Stuffing” Boxes, to be ILLEGAL. Everybody knows what went on with the $417,000,000 that little Mark Zuckerberg “INVESTED” in the corrupt 2020 Presidential Election, and that doesn’t even include the big Wisconsin Nursing Home Scandal where close to 100% of the residents voted (always is MUCH lower number). It’s now up to Robin Vos to do what everybody knows must be done. We need FAIR and HONEST Elections in our Country…

….Other States are looking at, and studying, the amazing Wisconsin Supreme Court decision declaring Ballot Boxes ILLEGAL, and that decision includes the 2020 Presidential Election. Speaker Robin Vos has a decision to make! Does Wisconsin RECLAIM the Electors, turn over the Election to the actual winner (by a lot!), or sit back and do nothing as our Country continues to go to HELL? Brave American Patriots already have a Resolution on the Floor!

Notice how Trump just skips over the part about recounting after excluding the new “illegal ballots” (Generally, rulings do not work retroactively in this type of context, only forward) and would move to just “declare” himself the winner. But what would really happen doesn’t require Trump to actually “win,” only that Wisconsin declares that it withdraws their electors, along with two other states (who now have a blueprint), and deprives Biden of 270 electoral votes, sending the election to the… House of Representatives.

Again, it’s just not going to happen. Too many people understand that such a move would mean the country has literally fallen apart, and the West Coast/North East would secede. If it somehow worked, those of us with dual citizenship would grab our loved ones by the hand and drag them back to our other home, a functioning, safe, democracy.

It is dangerous. Because this has the official imprimatur of a court, and possibly legislatures, all because of one extra vote on the WI Supreme Court, which included a justice who won by 6,000 votes out of over a million… the nation hangs by a thread.
