Bill Barr Said Trump Screamed at All His Cabinet Secretaries and Called Them ‘Losers’

I imagine that all during Bill Barr’s time as Attorney General, President Donald Trump was ever-present, whether he wanted him to be or not. It had to be an unpleasant situation at times for Barr, but in an extensive interview with journalist Bari Weiss on her podcast, Honestly with Bari Weiss, he tells her there’s one particularly awful moment that stands out, according to Insider.

“The president was bellowing at a number of his Cabinet secretaries and especially the military guys, the DoD secretary and chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and calling us all f*cking losers at the top of his lungs,” Barr said.

Apparently, Barr was referring to an incident that occurred on June 1, 2020, when Cabinet members were debating about what to do in regards to nationwide protests that erupted after Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin m*rdered George Floyd.

Trump’s cabinet, at least up until January 6th when quite a few quit. This obviously includes Bill Barr.

In his book A Sacred Oath, former defense secretary Mark Esper reveals what went on during that meeting.

This next paragraph, per Insider, shows you what a real creep Trump is:

“Esper wrote that Trump wanted to shoot racial justice protesters in the legs, and threw a fit when Gen. Mark Milley, the then-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told him he didn’t have command authority over active-duty or National Guard forces.”

Barr also recounted this awful story in his book One Damn Thing After Another.

Serving under Trump wasn’t Barr’s first go-round as Attorney General. He also served under former President George H. W. Bush and during Weiss’s podcast, he was sharply critical of Trump’s leadership style and the way he attacked people who didn’t agree with him.

“One would think that an executive would have a better idea how to operate with people and manage people, and he’s a poor manager of people,” Barr said regarding Trump, who was a real estate magnate with no experience in working in the government when he was elected president.

Another thing that Barr disliked was Trump’s inability to take advice from the people closest to him. He was referring to the 2016 election when the Access Hollywood video was leaked — the infamous one where Trump bragged that women would let him “do anything” including grabbing their private parts.

Trump screaming shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, as there are many photos of him screaming in the Oval, like this one taken by Doug Mills of the NYT.

Barr added that Trump “behaved himself for a few weeks and he just squeezed through” barely winning the presidency by winning the electoral vote against Hillary Clinton, even though she won the popular vote by 3 million people.

“This time he felt he knew better than everybody else,” Barr said in reference to Trump’s presidential leadership. “And so he didn’t follow anybody’s advice.”

And now the country is paying for it as a result.
