Eric Trump Wants Everyone to Believe His Father Had Him Working on Construction Sites at 11 With a Chainsaw

Eric Trump is known to say some outlandish things but in a recent interview on Rumble, he made one remark that may just take the proverbial cake. It seems he claimed that rather than living a privileged childhood, dear old dad put him to work to earn his toast and caviar. In fact, the younger Trump claims his father Donald Trump had him working for construction crews for minimum wage, beginning when he was just 11 years old.

During the interview, Eric Trump also discussed his father’s becoming president, but then he took a trip down memory lane.

If he wanted a new bike, for instance, Eric Trump said, his dad’s typical response usually was:

“Congratulations, you’re going out with construction guys to cut rebar … you’re going to hop on a backhoe, you’re going to dig holes, you’re going to grab a chainsaw, you’re going to clear down trees from a storm, you’re going to do electrical work and plumbing work … we were 11 years old, paid minimum wage, learning a trade. That was expected.”

Naturally, this brought out more than a few Twitter skeptics. Quite frankly, the idea of an 11-year-old boy running a backhoe and doing electrical and plumbing work sounds dangerous and sketchy, to say the least. So, some folks couldn’t resist a few jibes.

And like so many of his father’s supporters, Eric Trump is angry about the FBI searching his father’s house, whining to Fox News’s Sean Hannity:

“Sean, my father never got so much as a speeding ticket in his life, you know, until he made one decision, and that’s to go down the escalators of Mar-a-Lago and spend a lot of money and go and actually fight for this country for the first time, and he did a better job than anybody has ever done. And they started coming after him.”

Jeesh, all I can say is no wonder people mock this guy on Twitter. He walks right into it.

The FBI has yet to say what it did find at Mar-a-Lago, but agents apparently took away 15 boxes of documents. Two unnamed government sources told Newsweek they believe an informer at Mar-a-Lago instructed FBI agents on where to look. The sources also said the search was purposely conducted while Trump was not home. He was in New Jersey at the time.
