Fox News Hosts Go Absolutely BONKERS Over Texas School Banning the Bible

Imagine this: A panel of Fox News hosts is finally upset over Texas banning books. But no, they’re not upset over the banning of the graphic novel version of The Diary of Anne Frank. Nope. Not even. Instead, they are all in a dither because the Keller Independent School District, in Keller, Texas, has removed the Bible from its library.

Conservatives had pushed the district to ban certain books and during the program Outnumbered, host Kayleigh McEnany seemed unbothered that Anne Frank’s legendary book was being pulled. But she was really upset that her beloved Bible was being yanked.

As is typical for Fox News, each of the panelists said the review should be limited to books with LGBTQ themes, Raw Story reports. And it’s worth noting that this newest edition of Anne Frank’s diary does mention LGBTQ themes.

“The Bible, the most read book in human history,” McEnany opined. “Over the last 50 years nearly four billion copies have been sold. Compare that to Harry Potter, which is number three at 400 million.”

And then she turned even more irritating than usual if that were possible.

“Not only that, foundation of the world’s largest religion,” she went on. “A classic historical text. If you don’t believe it in the religious context, at least it can be appreciated in that context. But that’s the one we’re removing!”

So apparently for McEnany, Anne Frank’s book, which is the story of a young Jewish girl and her family who hid for two years during World War II while the Nazis were murdering Jews by the millions isn’t history, eh? So it’s fine that this book is banned but somehow a book written by people who believed the sun revolved around the earth is history that must be saved.

But for the Fox News folks, this was the only book that mattered.

“What’s so difficult to digest here is that the whim of a few has such an impact on the many,” co-host Emily Compagno complained. “This is literature that this school should be exposed to. And yet because someone else said we’re going to review it again, all of a sudden it’s back under review.”

“The fact that because one person or three people put the Bible on the list [is] absolutely horrifying,” she said. “And this is when the school administrators need to step up and say absolutely not.”

It wasn’t enough for Compagno to conclude with that, she also added:

“Because the default here as well is if someone subjected it to review, then it’s automatically taken off the shelf while they decide. But everyday without the Bible is a day lost.”

Well, I don’t know about that. I seem to manage to get by fine without it and so do millions of other folks. Just my opinion, that’s all.

Then McEnany popped back in again, saying that only “new books” should be banned.

“Even though I’m in general not for canceling books,” she said, adding that “students need to see and understand the holocaust, slavery, human atrocities and the world’s history.”

Well, she gets that right, anyway. Color me shocked.

Now it was co-host Harris Faulkner’s turn.

“Taking the Bible out of schools then furthers the political goal that we know already exists,” she said. “They want to, on one side of the political aisle, remove things like, you know, the pledge of allegiance and things that have the word God and so on and so forth.”

“And why remove it while you’re talking about it?” she asked. “Why can’t you leave it up because you can’t replace the learning — whatever the book is — you can’t replace what was gone, except for the sex pictures, because those are not things kindergarteners through third grade should be practicing. But historic books, you can’t replace that learning while it’s on a back shelf.”

“Exactly!” McEnany chirped. “You’ve got to learn your history!”

As long as it doesn’t have any LGBTQ themes, apparently.
