Listen to the Panicked 911 Calls From Lauren Boebert’s Neighbors About Her ‘Drunk Husband’

It was a hot time in the Colorado neighborhood where Rep. Lauren Boebert and her husband Jayson Boebert reside. Especially after Boebert’s husband allegedly threatened a neighbor and destroyed the man’s mailbox.

While Garfield County deputies left the neighbors and the Boeberts to settle this among themselves, 911 calls obtained by The Denver Post show that neighbors were seriously upset and nervous about the run-in with Jayson Boebert.

The calls provided additional insight into what the neighbors in Silt, Colorado say they were dealing with — excessive speeding, property damage, alleged drunken driving, and threats from a man, who, like the rest of his family is known to openly carry firearms.

“I’m sure he’s loaded to the hilt. Do you know who his wife is? Lauren Boebert. She’s loaded. They all have guns,” said one neighbor describing the situation to a 911 dispatcher. “He just got chest to chest, face to face, looking to fight.”

The additional context matches the rather limited information found in reports from Garfield County deputies. And Garfield County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Walter Stowe declined to comment as to why deputies didn’t investigate further. He offered no further information.

The Boeberts own a home in Silt, Colorado, where neighbors alleged they were terrorized by Jayson, who they described as “irrational” and “probably drunk”

That seeming lack of inaction has driven the head of American Muckrakers, a political PAC hoping to oust Boebert, to request that Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, the local district attorney, and the Colorado Bureau of Investigations examine the relationship between Boebert’s family and the Sheriff’s Office.

“This was clearly a serious situation as there were two 911 calls, five deputies, and at least four families involved,” wrote David Wheeler, head of American Muckrakers, in an email requesting the investigation.

It seems that the fun started in the evening hours of August 4, when a neighbor flagged down one of the Boebert’s sons and asked him to stop rocketing up their street in a dune buggy. That’s according to the dispatch calls and the short incident report filed by deputies.

“He’s going like 50 miles an hour and this is a residential lane, there’s kids,” one neighbor told 911 dispatchers, per the audio recording. “We tried to stop him and he’d just freakin’ cuss at us and just left.”

The neighbor was even so flustered that she had trouble remembering her own phone number when the dispatcher asked.

“It’s the Boeberts, if you know who the Boeberts are,” she said. “I need the sheriff out here,” with one person adding in the background “our wonderful congresswoman.”

Deputies still hadn’t responded when the second neighbor called 911, and during that call, Jayson Boebert, driving a truck, started to run over the second neighbor’s mailbox.

“There’s about to be some sh*t going down here,” the second neighbor, a man told dispatchers. “It’s Lauren Boebert’s jack*ss husband, Jayson Boebert.”

During the call, the man yells to Boebert:

“Stop, you jack*ss! Get the f*ck out of here! Come on man. What are you doing? What did we do wrong?”

The man can be heard telling the dispatcher that Jayson Boebert drove to their house with his son, “trying to claim that someone took a swing at his kid and nobody did.”

The man also said some things we already know, calling Jayson Boebert “dumb as a post” and “irrational.” Which is why we know he and Lauren Boebert are well-suited for each other.

“Jayson’s probably drunk,” the man said. “You could probably get him for a DUI. He just drove down here.”

Deputies eventually arrived, but Sheriff Lou Vallario told the Post in an earlier story that everyone had “agreed to work it out as neighbors. No charges. No further action.”

When Stowe was asked about the context provided by the 911 calls, he would not say whether deputies declined further investigation into the matter.

According to Lawrence Pacheco, a spokesperson for Attorney General Phil Weiser, the office has received Wheeler’s request that deputies investigate further.

This is not Jayson Boebert’s first tangle with the law. In 2004 he was arrested and pleaded guilty to public indecency and lewd exposure to two minor children in a bowling alley. There’s no mention of Lauren Boebert being present during this incident, but even so, she also has a history of minor arrests and also failures to appear in court.

She’s running against former Aspen City Councilman Adam Frisch, who is within striking distance of potentially overtaking her in the polls. So, Colorado voters, if you’re tired of Boebert and her gun-happy family, you know what to do.
