Don Jr. Makes Absolutely Disgusting ‘Jokes’ About Ron DeSantis’s Martha’s Vineyard Stunt

Donald Trump Jr. is proving he’s as big of a jerk as Florida governor Ron DeSantis by joking about violence being done to immigrants arriving in the U.S. and voicing his support of DeSantis’s sending two planeloads of immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard last week.

Donald Trump’s eldest son is executive vice president of the Trump Organization, and he stepped on the social media soapbox Thursday to belligerently abuse people who support progressive border policies by sharing derisive memes that show migrants being attacked by U.S. border officials on the U.S./Mexico border, The Independent reports.

“You know it’s coming,” he wrote in an Instagram post, accompanied by an obviously photoshopped meme from the incident where border patrol agents on horseback and holding whips while chasing Haitian immigrants who were seeking asylum along the border in Mexico last year. A Martha’s Vinyard sign is clearly photoshopped above the migrants.

It’s more than obvious that Don Jr. supports Republican governor DeSantis, who admitted he authorized the plan to send two planes carrying 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard Wednesday afternoon.

DeSantis didn’t inform any elected official in Martha’s Vineyard that the planes bearing immigrants were on the way and he told Fox News Digital Wednesday that this was part of Florida’s “relocation program.” But fortunately, local officials acted quickly once they realized what was happening, treating the incoming families with kindness and compassion. Many of the people on board had no idea where they were headed when they boarded the planes in San Antonio, Texas.

This resulted in worries about how the small towns located on the popular vacation island would handle such a large influx of people.

“The island communities are not equipped to provide sustainable accommodation, and state officials developed a plan to deliver a comprehensive humanitarian response,” Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s office said in a statement Friday.

“Our administration has been working across state government to develop a plan to ensure these individuals will have access to the services they need going forward, and Joint Base Cape Cod is well equipped to serve these needs,” Baker said, adding that the state will call on as many as 125 National Guard members to assist with the efforts which are being coordinated by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).

These are good people here. They are the opposite of DeSantis and Don Jr. who have never suffered in the way some of these immigrants have suffered. They aren’t fleeing to the U.S. because their lives are happy.

Not content with just one cruel joke about the fate of these people, he also took to Twitter to share more memes that echoed the current right-wing talking point that calls out the residents of sanctuary cities as “hypocrites.”

The people who landed on the island Wednesday are already being voluntarily transported to Joint Base Cape Cod, which has helped support those who were victims of Hurricane Katrina. Residents have also used the base as an alternative medical site when COVID-19 was underway.

I have to ask myself what kind of person sends migrants, who were probably afraid since they weren’t told where they were going to small towns that will undoubtedly struggle since elected officials there were also not informed of the coming influx? Someone like Ron DeSantis, whom I believe is an out-and-out fascist.

As for Trump Jr., he’s never had to worry about where his next meal is coming from. He’s never been worried about being tortured by his own government, or his own countrymen. Many of the immigrants fleeing here are leaving situations most of us can’t even imagine. So his cruel little jokes make him as awful as DeSantis.
