Trump Says Melania Felt ‘Violated’ by FBI Raid, Because They Went ‘Through Her Dresses’

Former President Donald Trump is once again complaining about FBI agents rifling through Melania’s closet, saying the former first lady felt “very violated” when the agency executed a search warrant at their Palm Beach, Florida home last week, The Hill reports.

“She felt very violated. I mean this is a terrible thing,” Trump said during a phone interview with Newsmax. “They go into her closet, they go through her dresses, and who knows what else, and it wasn’t left the way it — they found it.”

The former president said he found the search to be a “disgrace” and did his usual song and dance about how he did nothing wrong by keeping classified documents at Mar-a-Lago after his term as president ended.

In their search, FBI agents found over 100 classified documents and dozens of empty folders that were all marked “classified,” and had been removed from the White House.

“You take a look at the Presidential Records,” Trump said. “That’s what you have to go by, I guess. I mean that’s what I’m told.”

The Presidential Records Act requires document material related to a president’s political activities to be preserved and returned to the National Archives when the president leaves office.

Trump’s defenses for storing the top-secret documents at his residence have definitely run the gamut.

He’s claimed the Mar-a-Lago raid was politically motivated and upbraided DOJ and FBI for orchestrating and conducting it. He also said Sunday he plans to return to Mar-a-Lago to “see for myself” the aftermath of the raid.

On his Truth Social platform, he engaged in his usual pity party commentary.

“I’ll soon be heading to the scene of the unwarranted, unjust, and illegal Raid and Break-In of my home in Florida, Mar-a-Lago,” he wrote. “I’ll be able to see for myself the results of the unnecessary ransacking of rooms and other areas of the house.”

It’s understandable that Melania might feel “violated” over this, but her husband ransacked the country. It’s part and parcel when you live with someone who allegedly did criminal misdeeds.
