Karine Jean-Pierre Drops Everything and Brutally Calls Out MAGA’s Racism from White House Podium
There have been several major racist/anti-Semitic events in the past week. Most prominently, Kanye, or “Ye,” as he’s known on Instagram, Twitter, and elsewhere, sent a message on Instagram in which he said he’d go “DefCon 3 on JEWISH people,” along with a lot of anti-Semitic tropes, and then saying he cannot be anti-Semitic because black people are Jewish (according to Kanye.)
Every rat from the dark MAGA corners came out to support Kanye. Some – like Candace Owens – say that no one can say that the language was really anti-Semitic and then lament that “you cannot even say “Jewish” nowadays without being accused of anti-Semitism. David Duke supported Kanye (there’s a rubric), along with many MAGAs on Telegram and other racist anti-Semitic websites. It was peak MAGA, rally around the true Trumper, and set the anti-Semitism aside or praise it.
Meanwhile, another “racial” incident happened at the Los Angeles City Council. From the Los Angeles Times:
Behind closed doors, Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez made openly racist remarks, derided some of her council colleagues and spoke in unusually crass terms about how the city should be carved up politically.

Nury Martinez is a Democrat, and so were many who participated in the taped meeting who appeared to condone her language or at least tolerated it without speaking up.
A reporter put the question today about the racism on the LA City Council’s Democratic side and asked Karine Jean-Pierre if Biden had thoughts on whether Martinez should resign. After first noting that President Biden thinks that they ALL should resign, not just Nury Martinez, KJP stood at the White House podium and took ownership of the racism displayed by Democrats and laid it back on the entire MAGA movement, mincing no words at all:
“Here’s the difference between Democrats and MAGA Republicans. When a Democrat says something racist or antisemitic, we hold Democrats accountable. When a MAGA Republican says something racist or antisemitic, they are embraced by cheering crowds.”
So beautifully said.

One of her best moments at that podium and one in which she spoke most powerfully.
