2024 Election

Trump Hilariously Warns Pence It Would Be ‘Disloyal’ for Him to Run Against Him for President

While he hasn’t exactly hammered this in concrete yet, former President Donald Trump has hinted many times that he may well run for president again in 2024. And he is warning other members of his cabinet that it would be “very disloyal” to run against him.

In a phone interview with Fox News radio host Brian Kilmeade on The Brian Kilmeade Show, Trump dodged questions about his 2024 intentions, but he also backhanded those in his former administration who may be considering running for president.

“Mr. President, when will you decide if you’re going to run in 2024? And how would you handle running against people in your cabinet like [Mike] Pompeo, Nikki Haley, Mike Pence?” Kilmeade asked at the end of the chat.

“Well, many of them have said they would never run if I run. So, we’ll see whether or not that turns out to be true,” Trump said. “I think it would be very disloyal if they did [run], but that’s okay too. And the polls have me leading by 40, 50 points.”

Trump, of course, never mentions which polls he’s referring to, and for all we know, they may be imaginary. It wouldn’t be the first time he’s done something like this.

Kilmeade repeatedly tried to get Trump to pinpoint when he would announce his decision, but the former president only said that he would likely make that decision in the “not too distant future.”

As the two men talked, Trump painted a rosy picture for Republicans, predicting a “red wave” for the midterm elections, and also said Russian President Vladimir Putin could use nuclear weapons as the invasion of Ukraine continues.

“Well, I don’t think he’ll stand for losing. So, in some form, maybe limited form,” Trump said when Kilmeade asked him if he believes Putin may resort to nuclear weapons.

And he had an ominous warning for Bob Woodward, saying he has plans to sue the famed journalist who recently announced he is releasing an audiobook filled with hours of audio recordings of Trump. The former president called Woodward a “very sleazy guy” and said he’s already hired a lawyer.

I’m going to go on record here to say if there’s anyone who knows about being sleazy, it would be Trump.

Just sayin.’
