Trump Just Gave Prosecutors Proof He Committed Two Crimes: Former Prosecutor

Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor who is one of former President Trump’s harshest critics, has been analyzing one post the ex-president made on his Truth Social platform Monday and has found that the ex-president is admitting to not just one, but two crimes in the post.

According to Newsweek, Kirschner says the remarks Trump made in the post reveal he committed two felonies—thefts of government documents and obstruction of justice.

“There has been no accountability yet, not one indictment,” Kirschner said, in a video posted Tuesday to YouTube. Perhaps he’s as frustrated as the rest of us, and he predicted “That’s going to change.”

Jack Smith, the tough-as-nails special counsel appointed by Merrick Garland to oversee two Department of Justice investigations involving Trump. One of the investigations is surrounding classified records Trump kept at Mar-a-Lago that was uncovered by the FBI”s raid at the residence in August, while the other surrounds Trump’s role in the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

Smith certainly looks like he doesn’t entertain fools gladly, and to Kirschner, this is good news. In the clip, he says Smith is a “without-fear-or-favor kind of prosecutor” and since trump apparently unable to “stop confessing to crimes,” he believes indictments against the former president will likely come soon.

I’ll believe that when I see it. This has been dragging on for how long? And it’s not long before Republicans will regain the House, so it would behoove the DOJ to pick up the pace. Smith looks like a “take no prisoners” kind of guy, so I’m hoping this is true.

On Monday in the post that Trump will almost certainly live to regret, he asked the DOJ “When will you invade Billa nd Hillary’s home in search of the 33,000 emails she deleted AFTER receiving a subpoena from the U.S. Congress?”

“When will you invade the other Presidents’ homes in search of documents, which are voluminous, which they took with them, but not nearly so openly and transparently as I did?” he asked.

Trump has reached a new level of stupid here, now hasn’t he?

And this is why Kirschner believes Trump’s post directly implicated him in the theft of classified documents and indirectly implicates him in the crime of obstruction of justice.

“Donald Trump alleges that other presidents took documents with them but ‘not nearly so openly and transparently as I did.’ So, he just admitted that he took the documents openly, transparently, and therefore knowingly,” Kirschner said. He also argued that Trump could have feigned ignorance about the documents following him to his Florida residence.

That certainly would have been the smarter route but this is Trump, after all.

As for the second crime, Kirschner said Trump’s assertion that Hillary Clinton didn’t produce documents despite being subpoenaed by Congress signifies that Trump also received a subpoena he failed to comply with.

“Trump essentially asserts, ‘Well, yeah, I received the subpoena, and I didn’t produce documents. But you didn’t go after Hillary Clinton when she did something that I allege is comparable to what I did,” Kirschner said. “Make no mistake about it, friends, that is yet another admission of guilt.”

And believe me, Trump is livid over Smith’s appointment to oversee the investigations and fired off a fusillade of posts raging that his appointment is “weaponizing” the DOJ against him.

“Jack Smith (nice, soft name, isn’t it?), is a political hit man, who is totally compromised, and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near our already highly WEAPONIZED & CORRUPT ‘Justice’ Department and FBI, which are stuffed with, and listening to, Radical Left MONSTERS, who will cause difficulties for our Country the likes of which we have not seen before,” Trump raged in a Sunday post.

But Kirschner and other legal experts are definitely in Smith’s camp, no matter what Trump said. This even includes Richard Signorelli, a former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York who vehemently disagrees with Garland’s decision to appoint a special master in the investigations but otherwise notes Smith is “an otherwise stellar selection.”

I’m hoping Smith will get the job done. This keeps dragging on, and I think most Americans are beyond weary of this. Time to bring Trump to the justice he deserves. I’ve included Kirschner’s YouTube clip below.
