Kellyanne Conway Brags That She’s the One Trump Official With No ‘Subpoenas, Indictments or Investigations’

Former Trump administration counselor Kellyanne Conway seems to be proud of the fact that she hasn’t been entwined in the web of criminal investigations that so many others connected to Donald Trump are now facing.

Chatting with Piers Morgan earlier this week, Conway noted she’s cooperated with the House Select Committee that’s investigating the January 6 Capitol riot from the get-go, Raw Story reports. She’s more than happy to have escaped the legal ramifications that so many of her colleagues in the former administration now face.

“I’m the one Trump official with no subpoenas, indictments, scandals, and investigations,” Conway told Morgan. “And I plan to keep it that way.”

And Conway said she wanted to make sure things stayed that way, so she cooperated with the committee whenever necessary. The astounding fact is: As of September 13, 2022, more than 30 people connected to former President Donald Trump and his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election have received federal grand jury subpoenas. That’s according to CBS News.

Of course, some prominent Republicans, such as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, have refused to comply with subpoenas issued by the committee, so Conway deserves credit for doing the right thing. If she’s proud of that I can’t really blame her, even if she is Miss “Alternative Facts.”

I mean, even if she did cite an instance of terrorism as fact (even though it never happened), who am I to blow against the wind, as Paul Simon might say?

And she told Piers Morgan:

“I did not take the Fifth for that testimony or any question within that testimony!” she exclaimed proudly.

But at this point, Morgan pivoted to asking her why Trump can’t seem to accept the fact that he lost the 2020 election, and Conway told him she has encouraged him to do that.

“It broke my heart in 2020 that President Trump didn’t get reelected,” Conway said. “However, elections are about the future and not the past.”

It would be nice if Trump learned this. Maybe someday.
