Meghan McCain Actually Found a Way to Make the Situation With Ted Cruz’s Daughter All About Herself

Meghan McCain has a rather unique way of making things about herself…even when these things aren’t about her, and she’s doing it again. I’m referring to the tragic situation regarding the attempted suicide of GOP Sen. Ted Cruz’s (Texas) daughter, Caroline. A representative for the family requested that the media respect this young girl’s privacy, Queerty reports.

But while many people have been honoring this request and refraining from commenting about the situation, McCain commented anyway and did that by turning it into the Meghan McCain show. Because that’s what she does. If you were an alien who fell to Earth and met her, you’d assume everything was always about her. 24/7.

“There’s a special hell being a teenage girl when your Dad is a famous (Republican) politician and you’re in middle/high school -and I did it before social media and before journalists would target minors and report on them.”

“Leave the entire Cruz family alone & just send prayers.”

Obviously, she didn’t take her own advice.

She wants everyone to know that she dealt with her “special hell” by walking up a hill angled at 90 degrees and studded with cactus spines while it was snowing. She always, ALWAYS wants you to know that.

It’s no wonder that her days at The View were marked by tension and arguments.

If you’re not familiar with the situation regarding Caroline Cruz’s attempted suicide, I’ll fill you in a bit. The poor girl is just 14, and she self-harmed. Houston police and the fire department were called and when they arrived they found her with self-inflicted wounds on her arms.

Earlier this year, Caroline came out as bisexual on TikTok. After she was taken to the hospital, her family reported that she was doing better and that there “were no serious injuries.” The representative who spoke for the family added “The family requests that the media respect their daughter’s privacy.”

While McCain didn’t mention who she was referring to when she told folks to leave the Cruz family alone, people on Twitter decided not to leave her alone since she put herself in the middle of a sad situation that had nothing to do with her.

I think the tweets below go a decent way toward putting McCain in her place and I hope Caroline gets all the attention she needs to get through this right now.
