It looks like special counsel Jack Smith really does have former president Donald Trump running scared.  Trump is accusing Smith of being a “terrorist” and upping his attacks on the federal prosecutor who’s overseeing the classified materials criminal probe into the former president.

In an interview Thursday on The Mark Levin Show, Trump called for Smith to resign and end his investigation into allegations that the ex-president mishandled classified documents that were uncovered by FBI agents at his Mar-a-Lago resort and subsequently attempted to hamper federal attempts to recover the documents, Newsweek reports.

Trump is ineptly trying to throw up other obstacles as well, saying that Smith has a conflict because his wife, Katy Chevigny, a producer on the Michelle Obama Documentary Becoming, who also donated twice to Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign—”hates” him (smart woman), and is friends with Andrew Weissman, who was involved with special counsel Robert Mueller’s  Russia investigation.

“The prosecutor should resign, he’s got a conflict,” Trump told Levin. “He is a terrorist. He is a Trump hater. His best friends are Weissman and all of these characters, Lisa Monaco at the Justice Department, one of the top officials. This is a disgraceful situation. He should resign!”

“His wife hates Trump, probably even beyond him,” he continued. “And his wife has a sister who openly hates like a level that you can’t even believe.”

I love how Trump always plays the victim like he thinks he’s innocent when all of the evidence suggests otherwise. He just never quits, does he?

He made the comments after Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed special counsel Robert Hur to spearhead the investigation into the classified documents from Biden’s vice presidency. The documents were found at a think tank office in Washington, D.C., and in a garage at Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware.

Biden’s lawyers handed over the materials to the National Archives almost immediately, with counsel Richard Sauber confirming that, in a reversal from Trump’s case, none of the materials were being sought by the government.

Trump and his lawyers have been accused of defying a subpoena to return all of the classified materials that were removed from the White House when he left office in January 2021, and that’s what led the FBI to raid his residence in August 2022.

The former president continually defends his actions and repeatedly pushes the disputed claim that he declassified all of the documents that were seized at Mar-a-Lago, something that Biden, as Vice President would have been prohibited from doing with the documents found in D.C. and Delaware because he wouldn’t have had the authority to do so.

And Trump continues to do a lot of wishful thinking.

On Truth Social, after the announcement of Hur’s appointment, Trump demanded that Garland “immediately” end investigations into “anything related to me because I did everything right” and suggested a special counsel should be appointed to investigate Biden who hates “Biden as much as Jack Smith hates me.”

Trump has regularly attacked Smith, saying he is compromised and therefore should be removed from the classified documents case. Sparky can dream about this all he wants but nope. This ain’t happening. And Smith will also continue overseeing parts of the inquiry into Trump’s actions surrounding the failed insurrection at the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

As is typical, Trump had all sorts of things to say about Smith on Truth Social, Thursday.

“The Special ‘Prosecutor’ assigned to the ‘get Trump case,’ Jack Smith(?), is a Trump Hating THUG whose wife is a serial and open Trump Hater, whose friends & other family members are even worse.”

“Smith is known as ‘an unfair Savage,’ & is best friends with the craziest Trump haters, including Lisa Monaco who runs ‘Injustice.’ The Boxes Scam is a HOAX.’

“Fire a man who may very well turn out to be a criminal. Jack Smith. His conflicts, unfairness, and mental state of derangement make him totally unfit for the job of ‘getting Trump.'”

Is Trump tripping on too much Adderall here? Because we did fire a criminal when we elected Joe Biden as President in 2020.
