Donald Trump is apparently considering potential 2024 vice presidential running mates, and as we all know, former Vice President Mike Pence is sitting this one out. Especially since his boss, you know, allegedly hinted that perhaps Pence should be hanged (wink wink) when all hell broke loose at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

But now that he won’t have Pence to kick around anymore, all of the VPs that he’s considering are women, Uproxx reports. But they’re not the women most of us might hope for, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, or Ilhan Omar (of course, she can’t become vice president because she’s one of them goldurned furriners.) Plus, all of these women are highly intelligent and we already know Donald Trump does not do THAT well.

Nope, according to the Daily Beast, he’s considering the fire-breathin’ types like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Kari Lake, and Tulsi Gabbard (who is calmer than the other two but definitely wishy-washy.)

The Daily Beast reports:

“Trumpworld has been bandying about the names of Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), along with a third contender who has already begun to rankle corners of Trumpworld: Tulsi Gabbard.”

Gabbard, a Hawaii native endorsed Joe Biden in 2020 after she bombed in presidential polls with only about two percent of the vote has now switched sides and is filling in for Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

“One GOP strategist compared Trump picking Gabbard to President Biden dumping Vice President Kamala Harris in favor of a unity ticket with former GOP Reps. Liz Cheney or Adam Kinzinger… Stefanik allies point to her loyalt to Trump through both impeachments, the Jan. 6 insurrection, and her endorsement of his 2024 campaign,” per the Daily Beast. “They pointed out that she was the first to endorse Trump for 2024 among congressional GOP leadership.”

Another GOP operative told the Daily Beast “you have to think about how you win suburban women and how you win battleground districts,” thus explaining why Trump is only considering women as potential running mates. And of course, he’s also potentially got his mind set on South Dakota governor Kristi Noem and Kari Lake, who still insists she’s the “real” and “duly elected governor” of Arizona because that’s apparently her favorite delusion at the moment.

As noted by Uproxx:

“Trump/Lake 2024? Sounds like a match made in hell.”
