Election 2020

Trump Spews Ridiculous New Conspiracy Theory About Georgia Election Workers on Truth Social

Former President Donald Trump hopped on Truth Social to promote yet another conspiracy theory — this time aimed at a Georgia election worker, The Independent reports.

He apparently took to his social media platform around midnight on January 2, where he posted a claim that there were “contradictions” in Georgia election worker Ruby Freeman’s testimony for the House Select Committee investigating the failed insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

“Wow! Has anyone seen the Ruby Freeman ‘contradictions’ of her sworn testimony?'” he wrote. “Now this is ‘BIG STUFF.’ Look what was captured by Cobb County policy body cameras on 4 January, 2021. …Now it gets really bad.”

Not content to leave it at that, Trump posted two more times on the platform, and (of course) insisted the 2020 election was “ALL A FRAUD” and then accused Freeman of committing election crimes.

“What will the Great State of Georgia do with the Ruby Freeman MESS?” he wondered in the third post, and then asserted he is fighting the “evils and treachery of the Radical Left monsters who want to see America die.”

Wow. This fool never gives up, does he?

Ruby Freeman, and her daughter Shaye Moss, who are both Black, are now the focus of an unfounded conspiracy theory favored by election deniers, according to MSNBC. This “theory” purports that the two women — who had taken temporary jobs to count ballots — were personally responsible for adding fake ballots for Joe Biden into the state’s ballot counting systems.

Nutters who believe this claim that a video of the women working at their jobs somehow proves they were committing election crimes. These fools cite an unseen “suitcase” allegedly filled with fake ballots. The video never appears to show any crime being committed and it never shows a suitcase. All it shows is a box that’s commonly used to transport ballots.

MSNBC even reports that the FBI warned Freeman to flee her home, close her business and seek shelter at an undisclosed location to protect herself from fanatical Trump supporters.

How sad.

Freeman told the committee “there is nowhere I feel safe. Nowhere.”

“Do you know how it feels to have the president of the United States to target you? The president of the United States is supposed to represent every American. Not to target one,” she said, according to NBC News. “He targeted me. A proud American citizen who stood up to help Fulton County run an election in the middle of a pandemic.”

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow reports that the former president was even told by his own Justice Department that the claims regarding Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss were false.

Former Acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue allegedly even told Trump that the allegations had been reviewed and were reportedly found to be baseless.

“No, sir, there is no suitcase. You can watch that video over and over,” Donoghue allegedly told Trump. “There is no suitcase. There is a wheeled bin where they carried the ballots. And that’s just how they moved ballots around that facility. There’s nothing suspicious about that at all.”

How sad is it that Trump doesn’t care that he’s ruined these two innocent women’s lives? He still claims the election was stolen from him, even though these claims have been proven to be unfounded time and again.
