2024 Election

One of Donald Trump’s Favorite Golf Courses Is In MAJOR Financial Trouble

The last few months have been full of plenty of bad news for former president Donald Trump and now there’s even more: The Trump International Golf Club in Scotland has been hemorrhaging money and may be on its way out. Recently released documents show it lost nearly £700,000 ($860,000 U.S.) in 2021. But no matter how bad that looks, the situation was even worse in 2020 when it lost £1.3 million ($1.5 million U.S.).

Queerty reports that SLC Turnberry Ltd., which manages the money-losing property, which Trump once described as “the world’s best golf course,” has said much of the deficit is due to the resort being shut down by the pandemic for part of the year. But what that doesn’t explain is why the club has never once turned a profit in the 10 years since it opened.

But here’s something rather convenient: It seems like the £700,000 loss came right after Trump received £1 million in COVID payroll support from the UK government.

But then those concerns are probably a drop in the bucket for Trump, considering the twice-impeached president is embroiled in investigations, lawsuits, counter-lawsuits, a pretty badly tattered political reputation after last year’s disastrous midterm election results, and a campaign that up until recently seemed dead-in-the-water.

However, when you consider he’s consistently boasting about what a marvelous businessman he is, this must surely be embarrassing.

And it looks like Trump may soon have a Republican rival for the 2024 presidential primary. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley her intention to run in the coming days. Even though she did say in 2021 that she wouldn’t run in 2024 if Trump did. It’s thought that she’ll make her announcement in Charleston, South Carolina on February 15.

Now it’s time for the Democrats to get cracking. It’s been widely hinted that President Joe Biden intends to run again, which is all well and good, but while Trump and Haley are strategizing they don’t seem up to much.
