2024 Election
Trump Just Posted Something So Insane and Unbelievable on Truth Social That People Can’t Believe He Actually Did It
Images created by artificial intelligence are proliferating all over social media now and some folks are even using AI tools such as Midjourney to imagine what Donald Trump being arrested would look like. But apparently, the former president has found out AI can be useful. He shared an image of himself on Truth Social Thursday morning that, according to Forbes, is almost certainly fake.
And the image is being circulated widely on pro-Trump Twitter since Saturday and it shows the ex-president on one knee, praying. If you glance at it momentarily it looks like it could be real. But if you look more closely, the AI becomes quite evident.
Take Trump’s tiny hands, for instance. Forbes reports that creating realistic hands has been a stumbling block for most AI image-creation tools. And this image is certainly no exception. It looks very much like Trump is missing his ring finger on his right hand, “and his thumbs are grafted on in a jumbled mess that seems to defy basic human anatomy,” Forbes reported.
Forbes’s Matt Novak did a bit of digging around and uploaded the image to Hugging Face, which has created a tool that can determine the likelihood of whether an image has been created by AI. Unsurprisingly, the Hugging Face tool found there was a 90 percent likelihood that the image of Trump was created by machines.
But to be truthful, the image looks pretty hokey even to the naked eye. You don’t have to be an expert on artificial intelligence to understand that the 76-year-old Trump taking a knee is pretty near impossible, considering his health. It’s difficult enough for healthy people his age. And Novak notes he’s never seen Trump take a knee in public.

It’s not just that, however. Another reason why the image is likely fake is that Trump’s right knee — the one that’s kneeling — appears to be directly behind his left foot. Unless Trump were a yoga master or has superhuman abilities we’ve never heard of, this just isn’t likely.
But there are also context clues that this image is fake. Trump is also always the center of attention when he enters a room, but in this image, none of the faces in the background are even looking at him. One man even looks like he’s checking his phone. And if Trump were to do something as unusual as taking a knee to pray, you can bet the other faces in the room would be staring, or praying alongside him.
“The American public has a wide variety of opinions on Trump, but cool indifference to the man basically doesn’t exist,” Novak reminds us.
Novak ran the image through other online tools, including TinEye and Yandex images, “to see if the image appeared anywhere else, on the off chance that it was real. But nothing came back with a hit,” he writes.
But it’s not like this is the first time Trump has done something like this. In 2019 his team was digitally altering images to make him look healthier, even to the point of giving him longer fingers. How ridiculous is that?
Trump almost certainly knows this image is fake, but of course, he shared it with his followers because he revels in all the attention his followers give him. And there’s an actual image of what Trump looks like when he’s praying. In 2019 he made a surprise visit to a church in Virginia and we can clearly see his hands clasped in prayer, and it looks nothing like the AI image above.
But considering how fake, how artificial Trump is himself (I’m sorry but the skin color he wears does not naturally occur in humans), it’s not really all that surprising that he’s resorting to machine-made images of himself. It’s just an extension of his personality.
Twitter went freaking crazy:
He thinks it’s a real picture

Uh, I think the “biggest clue” is simply that it’s a picture of Trump praying. Of course it’s fake

I think I see what he was going for pic.twitter.com/0lL7Te3MrQ

Huh.
Who exactly does the antichrist pray to?
I did not expect this particular tableau.

Having never actually prayed in real life he had to turn to AI to make it look convincing.

The easiest way to know it’s a fake is that there’s no way on earth he would ever be able to get back up from that.🤣 70 something fat guys do not simply get up off the floor.

I prefer these kinds of AI pictures of him: pic.twitter.com/0lR3Ji2lOn

Yeah, there's no way his fatness wouldn't just break those knees in that pose.
