Donald Trump Didn’t Want to Share a Name with Son Don Jr. in Case He Was a ‘Loser’

Donald Trump Jr. often turns himself — inadvertently — into the butt of jokes on social media. He did this recently as when his program Triggered With Don Jr. debuted on Rumble. But perhaps it should have premiered on Stumble (if there is such a place) because that’s what he did.

He rambled for a solid hour making all sorts of head-scratching comments with no discernible point whatsoever. He seemed to realize he was in trouble and perhaps hoped his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle would rescue him.

She did. Sort of. But not without simultaneously throwing him under the bus.

“Trump Jr. then introduced his ‘boss,’ namely his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, to which he asked, ‘was that okay?’ in reference to his performance.”

“I actually love it,” she said.

“It was like an hour rant,” Junior replied.

“This is what you do at home and now everyone gets to see,” she joked.

But he was apparently still feeling insecure about this, so he took his concerns to Twitter.

It’s pretty obvious to me that Donald Trump Jr. is insecure, and there’s a sad reason for it. I don’t care for Junior, but I can still feel some empathy for him…sometimes.

When he was born, his father, Donald Trump, didn’t want to name his first-born son after himself, Insider reports. This was in case Junior wound up being “a loser.” That’s according to a profile that appeared in GQ Magazine.

“According to his first wife, Ivana, Donald Trump was never keen on bequeathing his name to anybody,” GQ’s Julia Ioffe wrote. “it was Ivana who wanted to call their newborn Donald junior. ‘You can’t do that!’ Trump is quoted as saying in Ivana’s memoir, ‘Raising Trump. What if he’s a loser?'”

How sad is that? If Don Jr. knew his father said this, it had to be a terrible strain. And his childhood was spent living in his father’s shadow and struggled continually to gain his father’s approval. As the oldest child, he constantly faced family problems that his younger siblings, Eric, and Ivanka didn’t have to face.

But it’s not just that. He was also used by his father as a bargaining chip in his parents’ very acrimonious divorce when he was 12. The experience was so upsetting to him that he didn’t speak to his dad for a year.

He learned to use nature as an escape from such a turbulent life by visiting his grandfather from Ivana’s side in the former Czechoslovakia. He learned to love to hunt and fish, which is sad because there are many ways to enjoy nature without killing innocent creatures. But it’s easy to see why he wanted to get the h*ll out of Dodge.

“Poor Don. He really got the brunt of everything,” Ivana wrote in her memoir. “No wonder Don likes to go in the woods and escape from everything.”

Frankly, his father is a loser. It’s still early in the game for Don Jr., so maybe he’ll change but as it stands right now it certainly looks like he’s going in the wrong direction.

And people on Twitter were more than happy to respond Don Jr.’s tweet.
