Here’s something that may well ice the frosting on Donald Trump’s cake: It seems that his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s relatives are throwing in for former New Jersey governor Chris Christie.

The Independent reports that Kushner’s aunt and uncle, Lee and Murray Kushner have each sent the maximum amount they are allowed to donate to a candidate’s campaign — dropping $3,000 each to Christie’s presidential campaign.

And this isn’t the first time the Kushners have backed Christie over their nephew’s father-in-law. In 2015, they also donated the maximum amount to his war chest.

The issue becomes a bit, well…tricky considering Christie successfully prosecuted Jared’s dad Charles Kushner for tax fraud in 2004 when Christie was a U.S. attorney.

And even though Christie was part of Trump’s administration for a while, the two are clearly not fans of each other. Christie has even picked up the ex-president’s habit of openly mocking his opponents.

“Breaking news… Donald Trump has released his Top-Secret plan for ending the war in Ukraine in 24 hours,” Christie tweeted in response to Trump’s comment that he knew how to end the conflict. “The Plan: He knows Putin and Zelensky ‘very well’ and will make a couple of calls. Move over Churchill, Trump is here to save the day.”

And of course, Trump never misses a chance to diss Christie’s weight and complain about his rambling.

“How many times did Chris Christie use the word SMALL? Does he have a psychological problem with SIZE?” Trump wrote on Truth Social after his rival gave a speech. “Actually, his speech was SMALL, and not very good. It rambled all over the place, and nobody had a clue of what he was talking about. Hard to watch, boring, but that’s what you get from a failed Governor (New Jersey) who left office with a 7% approval rating and then got run out of New Hampshire. This time, it won’t be any different!”

Now I have to wonder if there will be words between Jared, Ivanka Trump, and Daddy Not-so-dearest. The fact that anyone, especially Kushner’s family, is throwing money in Christie’s coffers ought to turn Trump’s few yellow hairs gray and his orange face steaming red.
