Lauren Boebert Celebrates Anheuser-Busch Laying Off 350 American Workers

Lauren Boebert just couldn’t be happier that another large corporation announces it’s laying off 350 hardworking employees. Because that’s how the Congresswoman from Colorado is. Especially if that corporation did something that expressed support for people in the LGBTQ+ community.

So she celebrated with a tweet, that perhaps she thinks is funny, but for those now out of their job it obviously isn’t.

In a statement Thursday, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Bud Light’s parent company announced they planned to cut hundreds of corporate jobs—somewhere in the neighborhood of two percent of its 18,000-member workforce. The decision was made just four months after the brand made headlines when it partnered with transgender social media influencer, Dylan Mulvaney. She made a 50-second video for Instagram, introducing the specialty beer cans that bore her face on them as part of the brand’s attempt to add more diversity to its customer base.

But right-wing conservatives lost their collective minds over this. The endorsement gave trolls the chance to tar Mulvaney as a pedophile. This kind of attack is all too common against the LGBTQ+ community, but that’s the kind of people far-right wingnutters are. They publicly denounced Bud Light and posted videos showing them shooting up Bud Light cans with their beloved semiautomatic rifles and dumping cases of the beer.

Anheuser-Busch InBev doesn’t blame the controversy for the recent round of layoffs, but that doesn’t stop mentally-challenged bigots like Boebert from cackling because the company they hate has now laid off 350 people.

“Bud Light went woke, then Bud Light went broke!” she said, exultantly sharing a Fox News article that outlined the cutbacks, along with an American flag emoji, of course, because this woman is as obnoxious as people get.

Fortunately, folks on Twitter don’t take such insensitivity and stupidity lightly and they tore her a new one. That led her to try and backtrack later, tweeting, “Innocent employees shouldn’t be forced to pay the price for the disastrous decisions of their woke bosses.”

But this isn’t the only time Boebert has been stupid when it comes to the beer company. After the Mulvaney video was released, she shared a photoshopped picture of a Bud Light can with the visage of the late NFL player and military vet Pat Tillman on the front. This effort to discredit Mulvaney and Bud Light fell flatter than a can of the cheapest beer. You know, the kind of beer that’s suitable for Boebert, so she can sit around and stuff her face with pork rinds and watch Roseanne Barr crack more unfunny jokes.

I mean really, that’s about all this woman is good for.
